And the brethren immediately sent away Shaul and Silas by night unto Berea: who
coming there went into the synagogue of the Yahudi. These were more noble than those in
Thessalonica, in that they received the Word with all readiness of mind, and searched the
scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

The Bereans were considered noble because they verified and validated the teachings of Shaul (Paul) and Silas using the Word of our Father. Seeking clarification is part of that process. We provide brief answers to common questions with links to blog articles and studies for further research. Questions are clarified and organized into four categories: Basic answers about faith, concepts in our studies, messages in our Father’s Word and application of our Father’s Way.
If you have questions not addressed in our FAQ, please Contact Us and select “question” from the drop-down menu. Our desire is to clear confusion, and misunderstandings.
Over time, leaders added-to and subtracted-from our Father’s Word, explaining the plethora of doctrines, denominations and sects. We remove manmade additions and rediscover teachings subtracted-from our Father’s Word. It appears as a “new” doctrine, but it is a “restoration” of our Father’s ancient Ways. Consider our study on Religious Syncretism to learn more.
“Yahusha” is also known as “Jesus Christ”. The Hebrew word for “Christ” is “Messiah” and means “anointed one”, so we call him “Messiah Yahusha”. When he walked this earth, he was called “Yahusha”. The letter “J” had not been invented as yet and is still absent in the Hebrew language. We explain this in greater detail in our article titled, Yahuah’s Salvation.
Your first stop is to watch the Restored Message of Salvation on our Homepage. The next step is to complete all Teachings in The Foundation. When building a new house, we must first build a firm foundation so our house will endure calamities. Our belief system is the same way. We must start with a foundation built on truth that cannot be moved or undermined by evidence.
In our Teachings, we explain why people ought to consider Our Father’s Way and how to follow Him. In our blog, we share experiences walking and living with Him. It is the life-application of our Teachings in real-time. We actually walk the talk. We want to show others that His Way is good and not too hard. Subscribe to our blog and let us show you what it is like Living Our Father’s Way!
YES! Our Blog focuses on our experiences walking with our Father. Testimonies are powerful witnesses showing our Father working in the lives of His people. If you would like to share your testimony with us, Contact Us and select “Testimonies” under the “Topic Category”. We will review your testimony, determine if it is in alignment with our purpose and then publish it on our blog.
Christianity says salvation is obtained through grace which does not require people to change behavior. Yahusha says that “unless you repent, you shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3). Therefore, we teach people to repent from sin which requires changes in behaviors such as lying, stealing and adultery. The Message of Salvation in the Torah explains these differences in greater detail.
All references to Hebrew are explained in the studies themselves. The ancient Hebrew is our Father’s language. We discuss this in great detail in The Identity of our Creator. By learning and understanding His language, we can better understand His perspective and His original intended messages spoken through His prophets. We illustrate this throughout our Teachings.
Each group of Teachings have five categories. The studies are numerically ordered like chapters in a book. It is best to begin with the first study and read them in order to gain the most from each lesson. They can easily be used in a group setting to stimulate discussion and further understanding. Study questions are included with each lesson which are good for individuals or groups.
Seedlings do not require truck-loads of fertilizer. It would kill them. It is best to give plants a handful of fertilizer weekly through the growing season. Our Father is a Master Gardener. He gives us a handful of spiritual food weekly during the growing season of our lives. We need time to digest new information before moving forward. Our life with Him is a journey and not a one-time event.
Our Father is a King with a Kingdom. All Kingdoms have a set of Laws. We live in our Father’s Realm and abide by His Laws. Following Him includes all of our daily actions, our words, our thoughts, as well as the ways we conduct relationships, business and casual interactions with others. Our belief system is a lifestyle and not a religion. Consider reading our Blog to learn more.
Judaism rejects Yahusha Ben David as the Messiah. We do not. The evidence illustrates Yahusha is our coming King; the promised Messiah; and the Son of Yahuah Elohiym. The Law of Moshe and the Prophets validate his identity and purpose. This is discussed in our video the Restored Message of Salvation on the Homepage as well our series titled The Message of Salvation in the Torah.
Rabbinic Judaism adheres to the Talmud also known as the Oral Torah. Karaite Judaism rejects the Oral Torah but they do not reject the written Torah of Moshe (Moses). Messiah Yahusha taught against the Oral Torah in the eyewitness accounts which has led to considerable confusion in Christianity. We clear this confusion in our article titled, Works of the Law.
Yahusha says, “Unless you repent, you shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3). “Repentance” is obedience to the Laws of our Father. Yahusha is saying that if we do not obey the Law, we will perish. Salvation is associated with “life” and not “death”. So, our Messiah is telling us that obedience to the Law is necessary for salvation. We encourage you to consider our studies titled, What is Sin? and What is Repentance?
The name “Yashar’El” is likely the original pronunciation of this name and we provide the evidence for these conclusions in our study titled, The Name of Yashar’El. The Hebrew root word is “Yashar” which means “one who walks straight”. Therefore, the name “Yashar’El” means the “straight one of our Mighty One”. “Yashar’El” includes people who have chosen to abide by the Laws of our Father and have entered into covenant with Him.
When translating text from one language to another, proper names are left in their original language or transliterated to preserve pronunciation in the destination language. These options show the greatest respect for the individual bearing that name. “God” and “the LORD” are not transliterations of the underlying Hebrew Words, “Elohiym” and “Yahuah”. Pronunciation is not preserved. They are manmade substitutions that do not reflect our Father’s character and are disrespectful. Therefore, we have restored all proper names in the Hebrew and Greek writings. We encourage you to consider our series titled, Our Father’s Name for more evidence.
When translating text from one language to another, proper names are left in their original language or transliterated to preserve pronunciation in the destination language. These options show the greatest respect for the individual bearing that name. “HaShem” is not a transliteration of the underlying Hebrew Word, “Yahuah”. Pronunciation is not preserved. It is a manmade substitution that does not reflect our Father’s character and is disrespectful. Therefore, we do not use the phrase “HaShem”. We encourage you to consider our series titled, Our Father’s Name for more evidence.
Leaders in Rabbinic Judaism are modern-day Pharisees. The Rabbis believe Shemoth (Exodus) 3:15 is a commandment prohibiting the pronunciation of our Father’s Name. They believe uttering the Name of our Father is blasphemy. This was the crime used to convict and crucify Messiah Yahusha Ben David (Mattithyahu/Matthew 28:64-66). We discuss this in our article titled, The Conviction and Crucifixion of Yahusha. Based on our research, the Rabbis have misinterpreted Shemoth 3:15. It is this misinterpretation that has led to the use of substitutions for our Father’s Name.
Our teachings are solely based on our Father’s Testimonies in the Hebrew writings. We use multiple witnesses and define terms based on the ancient Hebrew pictographic language. Other teachers use manmade doctrines, commentaries, opinions, books, articles, videos and their current knowledge-base to help them interpret our Father’s Testimonies. We do not use any of these resources. We base our conclusions on solid, reliable evidence. Our series titled, Ground-Rules for Interpretation, explains the methods we use to draw our conclusions.
Yahusha is the Messiah, the Son of Yahuah Elohiym (Mattithyahu/Matthew 16:13-17 and Yochanan/John 20:30-31). In the temptation, Yahusha had the option to commit a sin. Yahuah cannot sin. If Yahusha was Yahuah in the flesh, the temptation in the wilderness would not have any value because Yahuah cannot sin. The evidence proves they are separate entities. This is discussed in our series titled, Yahusha, Deity or Man? The Law does not require our Redeemer to be Yahuah in the flesh. This evidence is found in our series titled, The Message of Salvation in the Torah.
The Word of Yahuah is spoken and subsequently written by His true Prophets (Debarim/Deuteronomy 18:18). Making a claim that writings by men and women who are not Prophets are adding-to our Father’s Word which is prohibited in Shemoth (Exodus) 4:2 and 12:32. Messiah Yahusha says the Word of Yahuah is the Law of Moshe (Moses), the Prophets and the Tehillim (Psalms) in Luke 24:44-46. We define His Word in our study titled, What is the Word?
1 Yochanan (John) 3:4 says “sin is transgression of the Law”. When someone disobeys any of the instructions written in Law by the Prophet Moshe (Moses), they are committing a sin. Yahusha says, “Unless you repent, you shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3). If people do not want to die the second death, they must turn away from their sins. They must learn to obey all of the Laws written by the Prophet Moshe. This is one of the purposes of our Teachings. We discuss sin in our study titled, What is Sin?
Our Father promised Abraham, he would inherit land forever in Bereshith (Genesis) 13:14-15. Ya’aqob (Jacob) was told the same thing in Bereshith 28:13. Yahuah must resurrect them to fulfill these promises to them. Debarim (Deuteronomy) 30:15-20 says people will inherit life and blessings in a promised land if they follow His instructions. It says they would not experience death if they followed His instructions but yet they died. Yahuah must resurrect them to fulfill this promise to them. “Death” mentioned in this passage is the second death and not the first death. We discuss this evidence in The Message of Salvation in the Torah.
“Appointed Times” is the term used to describe our Father’s “Holidays”. They are special occasions set aside to commemorate different events important to our Father as well as His people. They reveal the Heart of our Father and future events yet to-be-fulfilled. We have devoted an entire section of Teachings to this topic in Celebrate. We encourage you to explore our Teachings and learn more about His “Appointed Times”.
Canaanites boiled baby goats in their mother’s milk in front of the mother which is extremely cruel. Rabbinic Judaism interprets this as a command to separate meat and dairy during meals. Some have separate dishes for them to ensure they never touch. In Bereshith (Genesis) 18:8, Abraham served meat and dairy together to Yahuah so this is a misinterpretation. The action prohibited in this command is cruelty to animals. Unfortunately, animal cruelty is practiced when processing our meat supply, kosher and unkosher. It is best to purchase meat from local farms who treat their animals with kindness and respect.
The ancient Hebrew pictographic language reveals that “kiseh” is a reference to the first appearance of the waxing crescent moon. It is in the same word family used to translate “throne”. When the first sliver appears, it looks like the side profile of a King sitting on his throne. We have a Hebrew word study that provides the evidence for these conclusions titled, Hebrew Word Study, “Kiseh”.
The overwhelming characteristic of Shabbat is to establish peace or rest from troubles. During the Shabbat reign of our Messiah, there will be no more war. “Do not kindle a fire” prohibits people from initiating strife between one another on Shabbat. Do not fight, contend or argue on Shabbat. Work to restore shalom with each other through forgiveness, humility, respect, kindness and consideration. We address this command in our series on Shabbat.
“Shema” means to hear our Father’s instructions and obey them. This is the concrete definition of “faith”. When I purchase mosquito repellent, I read the instructions and follow them. I apply the repellent because I believe it will prevent mosquito bites. Likewise, if we hear the Word of our Father and believe what He says then we will do what He says. We obey because we believe. Our actions demonstrate the Source of our “Faith”. This is “Shema”. Yahusha describes “Shema” in Mattithyahu (Matthew) 7:24-27 and we discuss this in our study titled, Shema.
“Olam” is the Hebrew word translated as “forever”. Picture a man looking at the mountains on the horizon. He cannot see what is on the other side of the mountains. If he walks to that location, he is able to see what is there. However, there is another set of mountains in the distance. Things contained on the other side of those mountains are now hidden from view. This is “olam” from an ancient Hebrew perspective. “Forever” is a time that can never be reached and has no end. We discuss this in greater detail in our study, Forever means Forever.
Before a man and a woman get married, they have taken the time to investigate their compatibility. If they are mutually compatible, they enter into a binding covenant agreement with one another which joins their two houses into one. “Covenants” with Yahuah are similar. Both parties take the time to determine compatibility. We take time to review our Father’s requirements and He evaluates our sincerity. If we are mutually compatible, we enter into a binding covenant with one another which joins our two houses together. It is not automatic. Both parties must give informed consent including our Father. We have a series of studies on this subject called, Covenants which dives into this topic in greater detail.
Our Father calls His Temple a “House of Prayer” in Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 56:7. The sacrificial system embodies His instructions to pray. In the sin sacrifice, the focus was on the individual’s heart and their prayers to Yahuah. Sin sacrifices presented with an unrepentant heart are vain. Whole burnt offerings represent prayers of total surrender to our Father. Offerings presented without a heart surrendered to our Father are pointless. Teachings today place emphasis upon the sacrifice and not the prayers paired with them. It should be reversed. We have an entire series devoted to Prayer to reframe one’s perspective regarding this topic.
Names describe character and function. “Melek” means “King” and “Tzedeq” means “righteousness”. Together, they represent a man who is a “King of Righteousness”. This is a King who obeys all of the Laws of Yahuah written by the Prophet Moshe (Moses) and teaches people to do the same. Yahusha Ben David fulfilled this function when he came the first time and will do the same when he returns. Consider reading our study on Melek-Tzedeq.
The Hebrew word for “rib” is “tzelah” and it means “side”. It is also translated as “board” which is portion taken from the side of a tree. The trunk of the tree and the board are no longer a whole unit. Woman was taken from the side of a man. To be whole again, man and woman must be adhered to one another in a covenant called marriage. Woman did not come from Adam’s head to be superior over him and she was not taken from his feet to be trampled and subdued. In the beginning, she was taken from his side to be equal to him. Consider reading our Hebrew Word Study “Tzelah”.
Adam disobeyed the Voice of Yahuah and obeyed the voice of his wife. When people obey someone else rather than Yahuah, they have given them authority over their life. They do what their authority tells them to do. This is idolatry. They are placing the authority of someone else above the Authority of Yahuah. Consider reading our study on Authority for more details. Adam also had pride. Rather than take responsibility for his error, he blamed Yahuah for his sin. He said, “the woman YOU gave to me, gave me the fruit and I did eat”. Adam failed to humble himself to our Father.
Christmas is not an Appointed Time established by our Father. It originated as a manmade tradition used to honor mythological gods. Catholicism combined these manmade traditions with the faith taught by Messiah Yahusha and his disciples in a practice called “religious syncretism”. Emperor Constantine wanted to unite his empire together under one religion and including festivals like Christmas appealed to a majority of people in his realm. We have a study titled, Religious Syncretism that discusses manmade traditions and our Father’s perspective on the matter.
Our Father gave implicit instructions not to work on Shabbat (Shemoth/Exodus 31:12-18). Making this transition can be challenging. First, address this with your employer and see what options are available. Second, consider finding another job that does not require you to work on Shabbat. Some jobs are service related like nursing or ambulance workers. People do not stop being sick or getting to accidents on Shabbat. They still need help. It is permissible to work if it would be a detriment to the community or individuals. Consider reading our series on Shabbat for further clarification on these issues.
Restoration of relationship requires action from both parties. We do not have power and control over others. If people do not want to restore relationship, there is nothing we can do. People have freewill. Sometimes trauma caused by our actions requires time for their wounds to heal. If a leg is broken, it takes time for the bone to heal. The same is true for injuries to our hearts and souls. We show them their importance to us when we continue to contend for the relationship. Our study on Forgiveness discusses the process and actions to restore relationship with those we have transgressed.
As we walk with our Father, sin becomes something we avoid. Movies and books containing sinful actions are not entertaining which is their primary purpose. If a movie or book is not entertaining then we automatically stop watching and reading them. Seeing a man being unfaithful to his wife is not entertaining because of the pain it would cause his wife and family. Watching a man being stabbed by a serial killer is extremely disturbing. If this is the way one feels after watching or reading these things, then it is not entertaining. Finding other things to do and read is a natural transition. Consider reading my testimony called, Mommy Rated Movies.
Sin causes severe pain to the heart. Like a broken leg, it takes time to heal. Individuals who caused the pain do not understand, because they were not injured and do not feel pain. They want relationship restored right away. This pressure to restore relationship causes the injured to feel like they are unforgiving, adding guilt to the injury. They are simply not ready to walk on that broken leg. As the wound heals, the pain lessens each day until it finally disappears. At this point, it is easier to forgive even if the transgressor is not sorry. Our study on Forgiveness helps others understand this process and the actions necessary for restoration.
The Torah does not prohibit alcohol consumption. However, alcohol dulls senses and causes people to be vulnerable to temptations, leading to actions we will regret later. Part of our journey includes avoiding situations that may cause us to commit sins. Going to a night club or bar can lead to excessive drinking especially if the group has this tendency. This leads to diminished inhibitions and sin. We must guard our walk with Him and not allow ourselves to be in situations that would compromise our relationship with Him. Consider reading our blog article, Consuming Alcohol for more details on this subject.
Birthday celebrations are rooted in witchcraft. Making wishes, blowing out candles and wearing hats are traditions associated with mythological gods. However, the birth of our Messiah occurred on one of Yahuah’s Appointed Times which is commemorated every year. Abraham honored his son, Yitzhak (Isaac), in Bereshith (Genesis) 21:8. It is good to do things to honor others and make them feel good, but do it without the practices rooted in witchcraft. Consider reading our blog article on Birthdays for more details.
The first time, I made a scarf that could be grabbed quickly as I was walking out the door. Now, I typically attach them to safety pins and apply them to whatever I am wearing that day. Personally, I do not wear them around the house on a day-to-day basis but I do wear them when I go to town as a reminder to stay in alignment with our Father’s instructions. The greatest temptations occur outside the home while mingling in the world. Consider reading our article on Tzit-tzits and my testimony, Wearing Tzit-tzits for the First Time.
In the beginning, Yahuah took one side from Adam and made one woman. In order for a man to be whole again, he only needs one woman; not two, three, or four… Our Father is restoring His original order that existed in the beginning. When men have taken more than one wife in the Hebrew writings, there was always discord or unhappiness. These behaviors are not conducive for an eternal existence filled with shalom. We address this in our study titled, Marriage in the Resurrection.
Debarim (Deuteronomy) 6:4-9 instructs mothers and fathers to teach Yahuah’s Ways to their children. Sons are men from birth. When a mother teaches her son everything she knows, then there is nothing more to teach him. He must go and learn from his father. Likewise, if a man continues to learn from a faithful woman about our Father, then she still has more to teach him. She is like a spiritual mother. Once she has taught him everything she knows, there is nothing more for her to teach. He must find another mentor. Consider reading our blog article, Can a Woman Teach a Man? for the scriptural foundation to support these conclusions.

Canaanites boiled baby goats in their mother’s milk in front of the mother which is extremely cruel. Rabbinic Judaism interprets this as a command to separate meat and dairy during meals. We have a Hebrew word study that provides the evidence for these conclusions titled, Hebrew Word Study, “Kiseh”.
