331-2 Salvation IS by Works
Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
In the previous study in this series, we defined a “false prophet” as someone who teaches people to disobey any of the Laws written in the Torah by the Prophet Moshe. Messiah Yahusha says that we will “know” them by their fruits. Their “fruits” are their words, actions and deeds.
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them.
In order to distinguish a “false prophet” from a “true prophet,” we just need to hear their words and compare them to the Law written by the Prophet Moshe. We know Moshe was a “true Prophet” sent by Yahuah. We know Moshe had the Set-apart Spirit of Yahuah. We know that Yahuah spoke to him mouth to mouth.
And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I Yahuah will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. My servant Moshe is not so, who is faithful in all My House. With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of Yahuah shall he behold: wherefore then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moshe?
The Words of Moshe still live. They still exist for the benefit of our generation. The Set-apart Spirit spoke through Moshe and still does to this day. The Set-apart Spirit would NOT tell the Prophet Moshe one thing and then tell someone else something completely contradictory. We can verify that the Set-apart Spirit within an individual is the actual Set-apart Spirit when they are in complete agreement with the Words spoken by the Prophet Moshe. Messiah Yahusha was and is in complete agreement with the Prophet Moshe.
And he [Yahusha] said unto them, These are the words which I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the Law of Moshe, and in the Prophets, and in the Tehillim, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
Messiah Yahusha confirmed with his own testimony that the Law of Moshe is the “scriptures” or the Words of the Most High. Shaul of Tarsus (Paul) confirms the same thing in one of his letters.
But continue in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them; And that from a child you have known the set-apart scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Messiah Yahusha. All scripture is given by inspiration of Elohiym, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of Elohiym may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
In context, Shaul (Paul) is referring to the “Set-apart Scriptures” Timothy had from his youth which existed prior to any of Shaul’s letters. Shaul is saying that the Law of Moshe and the Hebrew Prophets are profitable for doctrine. They can provide reproof and correction. The Law of Moshe and the Hebrew Prophets provide instructions for righteousness. We can compare the teachings of a false prophet with the Words written by the Prophet Moshe and “correct” their misunderstandings and misinterpretations. Debarim (Deuteronomy) 13:1-5 says that false prophets teach people to disobey the Laws written by the Prophet Moshe.
If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and gives you a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spoke unto you, saying, Let us go after other mighty ones, which you have not known, and let us serve them; you shall NOT hear and obey unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for Yahuah your Elohiym TESTS you, to know whether you love Yahuah your Elohiym with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after Yahuah your Elohiym, and fear him, and guard his commandments, and hear and obey his Voice, and you shall serve him, and cleave unto him. And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he has spoken to turn you away from Yahuah your Elohiym, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust you out of the way which Yahuah your Elohiym commanded you to walk in. So shall you put the evil away from the midst of you.
As stated previously, false prophets urge people to hear and obey the voices of someone else instead of the Voice of Yahuah. In context, this passage is telling us NOT to follow prophets, teachers or leaders who instruct us to HEAR and OBEY the voice of another individual exercising authority over others. People who teach against one Law written in the Torah and teach others to do the same are defined as “false prophets”.
Today, False Prophets teach people that Salvation is NOT achieved by works.
This is a lie. It directly contradicts Debarim (Deuteronomy) 30:15-20.
See, I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil; In that I command you this day to love Yahuah your Elohiym, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that you may live and multiply: and Yahuah your Elohiym shall bless you in the land whither you go to possess it. But if your heart turn away, so that you will not hear, but shall be drawn away, and worship other mighty ones, and serve them; I denounce unto you this day, that you shall surely perish, and that you shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither you pass over Jordan to go to possess it. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore, choose life, that both you and your seed may live: That you may love Yahuah your Elohiym, and that you may obey his voice, and that you may cleave unto him: for he is your life, and the length of your days: that you may dwell in the land which Yahuah swore unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Yitzhak, and to Ya’aqob, to give them.
Our Father is presenting a choice to people. They can choose a life without death or they can choose a death without life. “Death” is a choice. It is an option. It is avoidable. This is not speaking about the “death” we all experience which is the “first death”. This choice was given to Adam in the Garden of Eden.
And Yahuah Elohiym commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the Garden you may freely eat: But of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat from it, you shall surely die.
Adam and Chavah ate from the forbidden tree and were cursed which included the first death. This is recorded in Bereshith (Genesis) 3:14-24. Messiah Yahusha redeemed us from these curses and the “first death”. Because he accepted our punishment for these curses and death, our Father is free to resurrect everyone from the “first death”. The judgement for the “second death” mentioned in Debarim (Deuteronomy) 30:15-20 has not happened yet. It will occur at the end of the week of 7000 years. This is prophesied in the following passage:
And I saw a Great White Throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before Elohiym; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
This is the “Great White Throne” judgement at the end of the age. Everyone is going to be resurrected and stand before the throne of our Father. They will be judged according to their “works”. Our Father will ask:
Did they follow the instructions summarized in Debarim 30:15-20?
These instructions in this passage include the following:
- Loving Yahuah
- Walking in His Ways
- Guarding His commandments, statutes and judgements written by the Prophet Moshe.
- Hearing and obeying His Voice which is His Word written by the Prophet Moshe.
- Cleaving to Him in the bond of covenant.
This list includes actions and words done by an individual. People who DO NOT DO the things summarized in this list will die the second death after the resurrection. Their words and actions will be evaluated at the Great White Throne judgement at the end of the age.
These are WORKS!
These are ACTIONS!
These are WORDS!
If people DO NOT DO the things on this list, they will DIE THE SECOND DEATH. There is nothing mentioned about confessing a faith in Jesus Christ. There is nothing said about a “sinner’s prayer”. There is nothing said about being saved by grace. Everyone is going to be judged according to their WORKS. Messiah Yahusha confirms this in the following testimony:
Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Messiah Yahusha confirms that everyone is going to be resurrected. Those who have done good will receive everlasting life. Those who have done evil will receive everlasting damnation. Here is an illustration of those who have fulfilled the requirements summarized in Debarim (Deuteronomy) 30:15-20.

This individual avoids the second death because they followed the instructions summarized in Debarim (Deuteronomy) 30:15-20. Here is an illustration of the second death.

This individual chose not to avoid the second death because they did not follow the instructions summarized in Debarim (Deuteronomy) 30:15-20. People can still avoid the second death. They need to be informed of the choice set before them according to the Words of our Father. But instead, they are told by false prophets that “Salvation is NOT achieved by works”.
These false prophets are teaching people lies that will automatically lead them to the second death. These false prophets are literally murdering the souls of all their followers. The Law says that whosoever takes the life of another man or woman must give their own life as restitution.
So, you shall not pollute the land wherein you are: for blood it defiles the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.
Anyone who teaches people to violate one Law written by the Prophet Moshe is defined as a “false prophet”. They are put to death because they are literally killing the souls of those who follow and listen to them. There is no lofty reward for a false prophet.
The false prophets who teach people that “Salvation is NOT achieved by works” are killing the souls of people because ALL of them will experience the Second Death. This is mass murder by those who speak falsehood and ALL will be held accountable for the actions they have done. The blood of their followers will rest upon their head.
ALL of us are going to be living in an eternal community together. If our Father allowed liars, thieves and adulterers into this eternal community, they would corrupt it and we would end up with a society like we have today. Our Father has a standard. Those who choose to live by that standard can be a part of His eternal community. Those who don’t will be left on the outside to die the second death for which there is no redemption. It is permanent. There is no opportunity to change one’s mind at that point. Now is our moment. Now is our second chance and false prophets are stealing this opportunity from their people by speaking lies.
Their message contradicts the message of our Father written by His true Prophets and confirmed by Messiah Yahusha. This means that these people do not have the Set-apart Spirit. They have a lying spirit inside of them. The lying spirit is mimicking the Set-apart Spirit of Yahuah. We think it is the Set-apart Spirit of Yahuah but it is not because this individual is teaching people contrary to the Words of our Father. This is a TEST to see if we will hear and obey His Voice. Here is an example of our Father using a “lying spirit”.
And Yahuah said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-Gilad? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. And there came forth a spirit, and stood before Yahuah, and said, I will persuade him. And Yahuah said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, you shall persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. Now therefore, behold, Yahuah has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets, and Yahuah has spoken evil concerning you.
It is important for us to pass the TEST. These false prophets are teaching people NOT to hear and obey the Voice of Yahuah. This is a violation of the following Law in the Torah:
You shall walk after Yahuah your Elohiym, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey His Voice, and you shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
This is also stated in Debarim (Deuteronomy) 30:15-20 as a requirement to obtain a “Life without death”. They are teaching people to hear and obey their voice. They are leading people astray from the truth. They are misrepresenting Yahuah and teaching people that Yahuah does NOT fulfill His promises. This is a violation of the following Law:
When you shall vow a vow unto Yahuah your Elohiym, you shall not slack to pay it: for Yahuah your Elohiym will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you. But if you shall forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in you. That which is gone out of your lips you shall keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as you have vowed unto Yahuah your Elohiym, which you have promised with your mouth.
Yahuah Elohiym spoke to the Prophet Moshe mouth to mouth in plain speech. Yahuah spoke the Words in Debarim (Deuteronomy) 30:15-20 from His own mouth. He must fulfill this promise. People who love Yahuah; walk in His Ways; guard His commandments, statutes and ordinances; hear and obey His Voice; and those who cleave to Him in the bond of covenant will receive a LIFE without death with blessings in a land of promise. Those who do not do these things summarized in Debarim 30:15-20 will inherit curses and the second death most assuredly. Debarim 23:21-23 says that Yahuah must fulfill the promises He has spoken with His mouth. When false prophets teach people that “Salvation is NOT achieved by works,” they are teaching people that our Father does not keep His promises. They are misrepresenting Him and marring His nature and character in the eyes of people which is a violation of the following Law:
You shall not bring the Name of Yahuah your Elohiym to naught; for Yahuah will not hold him guiltless that brings His Name to naught.
These false prophets are misrepresenting Messiah Yahusha and marring his nature and character in the eyes of the people. Messiah Yahusha teaches people that every jot and tittle will come to pass written in the Law.
Think not that I am come to destroy the Law, or the Prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the Law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
ALL will be fulfilled including Debarim (Deuteronomy) 30:15-20. Messiah Yahusha is in favor of the Law being fulfilled in Debarim 30:15-20 and is an agent that will bring it to pass on behalf of our Father. Debarim 30:15-20 is part of the Torah which will be taught in the Millennial Kingdom by Messiah Yahusha. This is described in the following passage:
The Word that Yeshayahu the son of Amotz saw concerning Yahudah and Yerushalayim. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of Yahuah’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Yahuah, to the house of the Elohiym of Ya’aqob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Tziyon shall go forth the Law [Torah], and the word of Yahuah from Yerushalayim. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. O house of Ya’aqob, come, and let us walk in the light of Yahuah.
The “Law” is a direct reference to the Law written by the Prophet Moshe. Our Messiah will be teaching the nations the Torah of Yahuah written by the Prophet Moshe. Messiah Yahusha will be teaching the Word of Yahuah from Yerushalayim (Jerusalem). Messiah Yahusha knows the Torah. He lives the Torah. He teaches the Torah. He teaches people to hear and obey ALL of the Laws written by the Prophet Moshe. NONE of them have been or ever will be deleted or changed.
False prophets who teach people that “Salvation is NOT achieved by Works” are teaching people that our Father is unrighteous and unjust. This is a violation of the following Law:
You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in mete-yard, in weight, or in measure. Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall you have: I am Yahuah your Elohiym, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.
According to this Law, our Father uses the same standard to judge ALL people from the beginning of time to the end of time. False prophets would have people believe that the ancient people were judged according to Debarim (Deuteronomy) 30:15-20 and that people in our generation are not judged by this same standard. This is unrighteous and unjust. People were punished severely for violating the Laws of our Father and now we are taught that people are going to be rewarded for committing the same transgressions? This mars the nature and character of our Father as well and misrepresents Him in the eyes of the people. Our Father is righteous and just. He uses balanced scales to judge all people.
A false balance is abomination to Yahuah: but a just weight is his delight.
These false prophets are unrighteous and unjust. They think this is okay. They teach people this is okay. They teach people that our Father is unrighteous and unjust. They teach people that our Messiah is unrighteous and unjust. This mars the nature and character of our Father in the eyes of people. This is not okay.
Yahuah Elohiym is just and righteous. He judges all people according to the same standard from the very beginning to the very end. Messiah Yahusha believes the Law and teaches people to obey ALL of the Laws of Yahuah written by the Prophet Moshe. He is going to rule and reign according to this Law which means he will put ALL false prophets to death upon his return. He said he came to fulfill the Law and will ensure every jot and tittle is filled to the fullest intent.
False prophets who teach that “Salvation is NOT achieved by works” are subtracting from the Word of Yahuah which is a violation of the following Law.
You shall not ADD unto the word which I command you, neither shall you DIMINISH ought from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yahuah your Elohiym which I command you.
False prophets are teaching a different message than the one taught in the Torah. Shaul of Tarsus (Paul) used the Law and Prophets his entire life to teach people the message of salvation through Messiah Yahusha.
And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of Elohiym, persuading them concerning Yahusha, both out of the Law of Moshe, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
Debarim (Deuteronomy) 30:15-20 is in the Law of Moshe. It is the promise of eternal life in the Torah. Where is this message the “Salvation is NOT achieved by works” in the Law of Moshe? Are people certain that they are actually interpreting the writings of Shaul correctly? If the writings of Shaul are teaching people that “Salvation is NOT achieved by works” then this qualifies Shaul as a false prophet according to Debarim 13:1-5. If this is the case, then we should not be listening to him. We should utterly reject his letters and not listen to them. This interpretation contradicts the Words of the Prophet Moshe.
False prophets are teaching people to hear and obey the voice of someone else. This particular false teaching is promoted by Protestant Christianity. False prophets are teaching people to hear and obey the voice of the leaders in Protestant Christianity and NOT the Voice of Yahuah Elohiym. This is a violation of the following Law:
You shall have no other strong authorities ABOVE Me.
We have two authorities with contradicting testimonies:
- Yahuah Elohiym says a “life without death” is achieved by loving Him; walking in His Ways; guarding His commandments, statutes and judgements; hearing and obeying His Voice which is His Word; and by cleaving to Him in the bond of covenant. These are “works”. People who do not do these things will inherit curses and the second death after the resurrection. They will be judged according to their “works” (Debarim/Deuteronomy 30:15-20).
- Protestant Christianity says that “Salvation is NOT achieved by works”.
Which one is the truth?
If people say that salvation is achieved by the “works” outlined in Debarim (Deuteronomy) 30:15-20 then they are submitted to the authority of Yahuah Elohiym and are in alignment with the Torah and teachings of Messiah Yahusha. They have NOT placed the authority of Protestant Christianity ABOVE the authority of Yahuah Elohiym.
If people say that “Salvation is NOT achieved by works” then they are submitted to the authority of Protestant Christianity. They are violating Debarim (Deuteronomy) 4:2, 13:1-5, 23:21-23 and 30:15-20,. They are violating Shemoth (Exodus) 20:3, 20:7 and Vayiqra (Leviticus) 19:35-36. This means they are NOT in alignment with Yahuah Elohiym or the teachings of Messiah Yahusha. They have placed the authority of Protestant Christianity ABOVE the authority of Yahuah Elohiym and Messiah Yahusha.
This is idolatry!
Idolaters will find themselves outside the Gates to our Father’s Kingdom.
Blessed are they that Do His Commandments, that they may have Right to the Tree of Life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and IDOLATERS, and whosoever loves and makes a lie.
Idolaters do not have access to the Tree of Life. They will not live forever. They will die the second death after the resurrection. False Prophets will die the second death after the resurrection. This is a serious matter with highly unfavorable eternal outcomes. Messiah Yahusha said the following in this regard:
Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
If people follow these blind leaders, they will share in their outcome. If we financially support these false prophets, we share in their guilt and will be held accountable for the actions of these false leaders. This is not a game. It is not a debate. The Word is very clear.
You shall not bring the Name of Yahuah your Elohiym to naught; for Yahuah will not hold him guiltless that brings His Name to naught.
You shall not ADD unto the word which I command you, neither shall you DIMINISH ought from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yahuah your Elohiym which I command you.
You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in mete-yard, in weight, or in measure. Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall you have: I am Yahuah your Elohiym, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.
You shall have no other strong authorities ABOVE Me.
What is the solution?
- STOP listening to these False Prophets and STOP supporting them immediately.
- If you are a False Prophet committing these sins in ignorance, REPENT by no longer teaching people these falsehoods. STOP teaching people that “Salvation is NOT achieved by works”. START teaching people that the message of salvation is Debarim (Deuteronomy) 30:15-20. It is a message of life without death. Salvation requires us to align with the Laws written by the Prophet Moshe.
It is not too late. As long as we still have breath, we can seek our Father’s forgiveness and change our ways. Testimony tells us that our Father abundantly pardons.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto Yahuah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our Elohiym, for he will abundantly pardon.
But this requires us to forsake our ways and our unrighteous thoughts. It requires us to return to Him by hearing and obeying His Voice and not the voice of anyone else. It is a TEST. He is watching our actions right now and wondering… “Are they going to hear and obey My Voice or are they going to continue to hear and obey the voices of Protestant Christianity?” This is the question He is asking right now about the reader of this article.
We all have freewill to choose which direction we want to go but we cannot dictate the established consequences for those choices. False Prophets will die the second death for which there is no redemption. Idolaters will die the second death after the resurrection. This is the truth. It is my prayer that these words penetrate your hearts and cause many to repent from these sins right now. This is a warning to delivered to you from the Most High, Yahuah Elohiym.
