641-3 “Nephilim” & “Sons of Elohiym”
Beloved, now we are the Sons of Elohiym, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Who are the “Sons of Elohiym”? We are going to let testimonies from the Hebrew and Greek writings define this term for us and then we will evaluate the passage in Bereshith (Genesis) 6:4 at a much greater depth. Yochanan (John), the disciple of Messiah Yahusha Ben David says those who follow Yahuah Elohiym are the “sons of Elohiym”.
Beloved, now we are the sons of Elohiym, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Yahuah also says Yashar’El is His son.
And you shall say unto Pharaoh, Thus says Yahuah, Yashar’El is my son, even my firstborn: And I say unto you, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if you refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay your son, even your firstborn.
“Sons of Elohiym” are “Sons of Yahuah Elohiym”. The community of Yashar’El or the “straight ones of El” are His sons. The “straight ones of El” are “tamiym” and do not practice sin. Yahuah says it again in the following passage:
They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Yashar’El, and Ephraim is my firstborn.
Ephrayim is His Firstborn son. Yahuah instructs His Sons and Daughters not to intermarry with the women of the land. It will cause them to be led astray and worship other elohiym. It would cause them to commit sins.
Take heed to yourself, unless you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you go, unless it be for a snare in the midst of you: But you shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves: For you shall worship no other elohiym: for Yahuah, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous Elohiym: Unless you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their elohiym, and do sacrifice unto their elohiym, and one call you, and you eat of his sacrifice; And you take of their daughters unto your sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their elohiym, and make your sons go a whoring after their elohiym.
We have an example of this practice of intermarrying with other cultures in Bemidbar (Numbers):
And Moshe said unto the judges of Yashar’El, Slay everyone his men that were joined unto Baal-peor. And, behold, one of the children of Yashar’El came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moshe, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Yashar’El, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aahron the kohen, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand; And he went after the man of Yashar’El into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Yashar’El, and the woman through her belly. So, the plague was stayed from the children of Yashar’El. And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand. And Yahuah spoke unto Moshe, saying, Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aahron the kohen, has turned my wrath away from the children of Yashar’El, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Yashar’El in my jealousy. Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of shalom: And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his Elohiym, and made an atonement for the children of Yashar’El. Now the name of the Yashar’Elite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites. And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Kozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian. And Yahuah spoke unto Moshe, saying, Vex the Midianites, and smite them: For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Kozbi, the daughter of a prince of Midian, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Peor’s sake.
The Midianite women seduced the men of Yashar’El and they consented to the seduction. This behavior violated the Torah as stated in Shemoth (Exodus) 34:12-16 to the point that a man chose to have sexual relations with a Midianite woman in the camp of Yashar’El. As a result, he and the woman were killed. The men of Yashar’El violated the boundary established by Yahuah Elohiym. Here is an illustration of these boundaries:
Yashar’El was and is prohibited from intermarrying with the sons and daughters of the nations. It would cause them to be led astray from the ways of Yahuah Elohiym. Yashar’El is commanded to be set-apart and distinct from other nations.
And Yahuah spoke unto Moshe, saying, Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Yashar’El, and say unto them, You shall be set-apart: for I Yahuah your Elohiym am set-apart.
This is literally a physical separation or distinction. “Angels” or “messengers” are never called the “sons of Elohiym” in the Torah or Prophets. However, “angels” are called the “sons of Elohiym” in many books in the Kabbalah which is Jewish mysticism, Babylonian black magic or witchcraft.
The Flood Account:
Translators have misled people by failing to properly interpret the underlying Hebrew in Bereshith (Genesis) 6:4 passage.
Why didn’t they consider the evidence that we have presented in this study?
Isn’t their primary responsibility aimed at researching these things? Isn’t this the reason why people donate to ministries and good causes? People give financial gifts to their leaders so they don’t have to hold down a job and are able to research these things in great depth while we work our jobs. There is no relationship between men of large stature and “nephilim” that would indicate that “giants” is the appropriate word to use in translations.
These translators allowed their belief system to influence their interpretation of the text. They likely believe in this class of angels that look like men with wings. They believed these angelic beings mated with the daughters of men and produced this race of giants. As a result, they have interpreted the passage the following way.
And it came to pass, when men [Adam #H120] began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of Elohiym saw the daughters of men [Adam #H120] that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And Yahuah said, My spirit shall not always strive with man [Adam #H120], for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants [nephilim #5303] in the earth in those days; and also, after that, when the sons of Elohiym came in unto the daughters of men [Adam #H120], and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men [Giboriym #H1368] which were of old, men [Aniysh #H376] of renown [Shem #H8034]. And Yahuah saw that the wickedness of man [Adam #120] was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented Yahuah that he had made man [Adam #120] on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And Yahuah said, I will destroy man [Adam #120] whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man [Adam #120], and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repented me that I have made them. But Noach found grace in the eyes of Yahuah.
Here is the passage correctly restored regarding the “nephilim” using the definitions revealed in the first section of this study:
There were fallen men [nephilim #5303] in the earth in those days; and also, after that, when the sons of Elohiym came in unto the daughters of men [Adam #H120], and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men [Giboriym #H1368] which were of old, men [Aniysh #H376] of renown [Shem #H8034].
We get a different picture in our minds just by changing these words. The text is saying there were “fallen men” in existence in the days of Noach and after the flood. If everyone on the earth was completely destroyed in the flood except Noach and his family, then how could these alleged “giants” have survived? “Fallen people” are men and women who practice sin by transgressing the commandments of Yahuah written in the Torah. They existed at the time of the flood and afterwards as well.
“Fallen people” in our world today are people who eat pork, shellfish and oysters. “Fallen people” are people those who fornicate, commit adultery, participate in homosexuality and pedophilia. “Fallen people” do not rest on the seventh day Shabbat of Yahuah Elohiym. We are literally surrounded on all sides by “nephilim” or “fallen people” when we consider the restored definition of “nephilim”.
The leaders of the earth in our current world system are “fallen people” because they teach people to disobey the Torah and to deny the existence of Yahuah Elohiym. Many of these powerful leaders are known by name like Pope Francis or President Joe Biden. Most people in the world know the identity of these men. They have made a “name” for themselves in the earth. They are mighty men in the earth with great power. They are the “nephilim”.
Bereshith (Genesis) 6:4 is telling us that people who practiced sin existed in those days as well as after the flood. This seems odd to a generation who believes the world has always practiced sin throughout the millennia. Maybe it was not always like this? Perhaps there were times when sin was not very prevalent in society.
In the situation with Adam and Chavah, they lived in Eden which is akin to the land of Yashar’El. Their offspring would be the “Sons of Elohiym” like Yashar’El and Yahudah. Qayin was cast out and lived in Nod which is akin to the nations. The “Sons of Elohiym” who lived in Eden married daughters from Nod which caused them to be led astray from the ways of Yahuah Elohiym. This is just like the situation between Yashar’El and Midianites. Here is an illustration:
Yahuah Elohiym is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. The boundaries between realms are the same. As a result of this mixing, the whole earth became corrupted except for Noach and his family. Separating from the practices of the nations is the process of purifying oneself. Once purified, why would we choose to return to the practices of the nations by intermingling with them and their culture, language and practices?
The context of the passage clearly identifies the “fallen people” or “nephilim” as “men”.
…the same became mighty men [Giboriym #H1368] which were of old, men [Aniysh #H376] of renown [Shem #H8034].
The Hebrew word for “mighty men” is “giboriym” and it is defined the following way by The Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible as:
RWBYG ( masc., גיבור / gi-bor ) Translation: COURAGEOUS Definition: Having or characterized by mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear or difficulty. KJV Translations: mighty, strong, valiant, upright, champion, chief, excel, giant Strong’s Hebrew #: h.1368
“Giboriym” are warriors. Yahuah actually calls Gideon a “gibor” in the following passage:
And the messenger of Yahuah appeared unto him, and said unto him, Yahuah is with you, you mighty man [Gibor #H1368] of valor.
Gideon was a man. He was not a “giant”. He was a mighty warrior for Yahuah Elohiym. Bereshith 6:4b also calls the offspring of these unions “men of renown” or “men of name”. The word translated as “men” is defined the following way by The Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible as:

The offspring of these unions were “men” or “anyish”. This is what the text says. The “nephilim” were men. This is the same exact words used in the following passage:
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man [Aniysh #H376].
Here is another passage in which both words are used:
Yahuah shall go forth as a mighty man [Gibor #H1368], he shall stir up jealousy like a man (Aniysh #H376] of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.
The offspring of these unions were men. There is nothing in this passage that refers to men of large stature, offspring of angels or some extraterrestrial beings.
The nephilim before the flood were men!
This is what the text says. Yahuah Elohiym says, “He saw the wickedness of MAN (Adam)… He was sorry He had made MAN (Adam)… not alleged “angels”. He said He would destroy MAN (Adam) and beasts”.
Men are the “nephilim” or “fallen men”
They are men and women who transgress the commandments of Yahuah Elohiym. They are set aside for destruction like refuse. This principle is also taught by Shaul of Tarsus in the following passage:
Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord has Messiah with Belial? or what part has he that believes with an infidel? And what agreement has the temple of Elohiym with idols? for you are the temple of the living Elohiym; as Elohiym has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their Elohiym, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be separate, says Yahuah, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says Yahuah Almighty.
We are instructed to come out from among them. We are instructed not to touch the unclean thing. We are instructed to be separated from the evil things of this world. THEN we become His sons and daughters… the “Sons of Elohiym”.
