231-2 The Ordinances That Stand Against Us
And Yahuah Elohiym commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the Garden you may freely eat: But of the Tree of the Knowledge of Function and Dysfunction, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat from it, you shall surely die”.
The Message of Salvation is our Father’s “solution” to a problem similar to the one experienced by Queen Esther. Haman was an Agagite and sought to destroy the Yahudim living in Babylon. He convinced the King to enact a Law that would slaughter the Yahudim. Laws established by the King could not be reversed. In order to prevent their slaughter, another Law was established that allowed the Yahudim to defend themselves. The first Law could not be deleted or changed but another Law could be added that would produce a different outcome. Here is testimony from this event illustrating this attribute of the King’s Laws.
And said, If it please the king, and if I have found favor in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Yahudim which are in all the king’s provinces: For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred? Then the King Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Yahudim, Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Yahudim. Write also for the Yahudim, as it you like, in the king’s name, and seal it with the king’s ring: for the writing which is written in the king’s name, and sealed with the king’s ring, may no man reverse.
Haman, the Agagite, established a Law in the King’s name that could not be reversed even by the King. After the grave situation was presented to the King by Queen Esther, Mordechai established another Law in the King’s name that allowed the Yahudim to defend themselves. This Law could not be reversed as well. The problem was brought to the King’s attention by Queen Esther and then a solution was instituted to solve the problem.
- The Yahudim would be slaughtered (first law = problem)
- The Yahudim could defend themselves (second law = solution)
This event describes our situation with our Father in Heaven as well. Our Father established Laws that condemned mankind which cannot be reversed. In order to provide a solution to the problem created by these Laws, Yahuah established Laws to resolve the problem. He could not delete the prior Laws that condemned mankind but He could devise a plan for people to preserve their lives just like the situation with Queen Esther.
- Mankind is condemned (first Laws = problem)
- Mankind has been given a pathway to preserve life (Laws of Redemption = solution)
Therefore, the hurdle mankind must overcome is rooted in an attribute of our Father’s Word. His Word stands forever. No one can reverse His Laws, not even Him. This means these Laws that condemned mankind cannot be changed or deleted. If this were possible then our Messiah would not have experienced torture and death by crucifixion. Yahuah could have just erased whatever issue that required such devastating suffering for His Son.
Principle: The Word of Yahuah stands forever. His Words are like the Natural Laws of the Universe and cannot be changed or deleted. They must be fulfilled. This is based on the following Law.
The grass withers, the flower fades: but the Word of our Elohiym shall stand forever. (Yeshayahu/Isaiah 40:8)

Yahuah is also obligated to follow-through on everything that He has spoken with His mouth. He cannot leave any Law unfulfilled. When we rely upon His Promises, it is this attribute that gives us assurance that He will fulfill the Promises He has spoken. However, Laws of condemnation must also be fulfilled. This conclusion is based upon a Law in Debarim (Deuteronomy) 23:21-23.
Principle: Yahuah follows-through on everything that He has spoken. This is based upon the following Law.
When you shall vow a vow unto Yahuah your Elohiym, you shall not slack to pay it: for Yahuah your Elohiym will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you. But if you shall forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in you. That which is gone out of your lips you shall keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as you have vowed unto Yahuah your Elohiym, which you have promised with your mouth. (Debarim/Deuteronomy 23:21-23)

Because Yahuah Elohiym lives forever, His Laws also stand forever. Once spoken, His Words are knit into the fabric of the Universe. They are a settled matter. He cannot even change His own Laws. He is bound by His own Words. Testimony from Shaul (Paul) alludes to these Laws of Yahuah that have condemned mankind.
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, has he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Shaul says there were “handwritten ordinances” that stood against us. These “handwritten ordinances” were removed and nailed to the cross. These “ordinances” are not the words of men and women. We can erase our words. We can change the words we speak. Even the Laws of Kings pass when their Kingdoms fall.
For example, laws established in Babylon are no longer binding, because the Kingdom is no longer in power and control. No one needed to be nailed to a cross for “handwritten ordinances” established by Babylon or the Roman Empire. We just need to wait for these Kingdoms to pass away and their Laws will pass away as well.
The “handwritten ordinances” that were nailed to the cross are Words spoken by our Heavenly Father that stood against us. This does not include ALL of the Words spoken by our Father in the Law and Prophets. We want the Promises and Blessings! ALL of His Laws do not stand against us. Messiah Yahusha “nailed the Words to the cross that condemned us” by fulfilling them himself; because they cannot be changed or deleted. Yahusha confirms this and said that he came to fulfill the Law and the Prophets:
Think not that I am come to destroy the Law, or the Prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
“Fulfilling” the Law and Prophets means he obeyed them. The Law says, “thou shall not steal”. Messiah Yahusha fulfilled this Law by not stealing. When we choose not to steal, we are “fulfilling” this Law as well. Isn’t this a good Law? Do we really want to remove an individual’s obligation to fulfill this Law? If we remove the obligation to obey one, we remove the obligation to obey any of them. If we remove the obligation to obey our Father’s Laws, we also remove the blessings and promises associated with them as well.
His Laws are not like a buffet in which we get to pick and choose only the ones we like. It’s like a marriage. We like it when our husband’s say nice things to us but we don’t necessarily like picking up his dirty socks left on the floor. In order to have a long-lasting marriage, we must accept our husbands or wives as they are; we accept the things we like and we accept the things we dislike. It’s a package deal. People who live in the United States don’t necessarily like all of the Laws established by leaders but in order to be a citizen, one must abide by the Laws of the nation especially if one does not want to experience negative consequences. Our Father’s nation is Yashar’El. People may not like some of the Laws established by the Leader but if they want to be a citizen, it is necessary to abide by them ALL.
We have presented testimony from two witnesses confirming that Yahusha came to fulfill Words spoken by our Father. Shaul (Paul) says these particular “ordinances” in our Father’s Word stand against us and are contrary to us. They needed to be taken out of the way. Here are three possibilities to remedy this situation, but only one is a viable solution.
- “Handwritten ordinances” are deleted. Here is an analogy. We owe $100. The debt is canceled. This is not possible because the Words of our Father stand forever. They cannot be deleted and must be fulfilled. As a result, our debt stands at $100.
- “Handwritten ordinances” are changed. Here is an analogy. We owe $100. The debt is reduced to $50. This is not possible because the Words of our Father stand forever. They cannot be changed or deleted. No part can be left unfulfilled. Our debt still stands at $100.
- “Handwritten ordinances” are fulfilled on our behalf by someone else so the “ordinances” do not have to be fulfilled by us any longer. Here is our analogy. We owe $100. Our brother pays our debt of $100 in full. He fulfilled the Words of our Father. We are no longer in debt. This is what Messiah Yahusha did for us essentially by fulfilling the Laws that stand against us which required torture and death.
Based on Shaul’s testimony, he knew and understood the Words spoken by our Father that “stood against us” because he understood the Message of Salvation conveyed in the Law and the Prophets. Here is the question we must ask ourselves:
What Words spoken by our Father required torture and death?
Torture and death are the debts Messiah Yahusha paid on our behalf. We owed Yahuah our life. This debt could not be cancelled. This debt could not be reduced. The only way this debt could be satisfied is by a brother who was willing to pay our debt in full. Because he paid the debt, we are no longer obligated to pay anything. We have been set free and these are our options now:
- Do we take this opportunity to stay out-of-debt and stay free by repenting from our sins?
- Or, do we make a decision to go back into debt and bondage by continuing to sin?
If we understand the words and actions that created the debt in the first place, we can stay out-of-debt. If “death” is the debt then this is our clue to locating the Words that condemned us in the first place. The first occurrence of “death” is mentioned by the mouth of our Father is in the following passage:
And Yahuah Elohiym commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the Garden you may freely eat: But of the Tree of the Knowledge of Function and Dysfunction, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat from it, you shall surely die.
This testimony says that if Adam ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Function and Dysfunction, he would die. The Hebrew word translated as “die” in this passage is “moot” and it is defined by The Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible written by Jeff A. Benner as:
TWM ( common, מות / m.w.t) Translation: DIE (V) Definition: To pass from physical life; to pass out of existence; to come to an end through death. Alternate Translations: kill (when written in the hiphil [causative] form) Edenics: mute; moot – as a dead point; mortal – with an additional r and l; mate – of “check mate” meaning “king is dead” KJV Translations: die, dead, slay, death Strong’s Hebrew #: h.4191
“Moot” means to come to an end and pass out of existence. Edenics is linguistic research linking words in all languages back to the language of Eden, the original language of mankind. The Edenics connection for this Hebrew word illustrates a relationship with the English words: mute and moot. People who are “mute” are silent. They cannot talk. The English word “moot” means having little or no relevance. Dead men cannot establish laws. They cannot hurt or maim. Their life no longer has any relevance when they die. They become silent. The letters in the Hebrew and English words are the same and the meaning has been preserved since the beginning. This is evidence proving English and Hebrew come from a common language.
The two-lettered root of this Hebrew word contains the letters “mem” or “mah” and the “tav”. It is defined by The Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible as:
TM (מת) Action: Die Object: Man Abstract: Mortality, Death Definition: The length of time that something exists and ends. Ancient Hebrew: The pictograph M is a picture of water representing chaos, the T is a picture of two crossed sticks representing a mark or sign. Combined these mean “chaos mark”.
Mr. Benner concludes that the root means “chaos mark” which can be seen in the pictographic letters. Here are pictures of the “mah” and “tav” together. We can see the waves in the letter “mah” which look like the sea. The sea is powerful and can be chaotic especially during a storm. We can see the two crossed sticks which represents a mark. In this picture, it is marking a path. Also, our Messiah died on a cross which is two crossed sticks. His death was a significant “sign or “mark” in history.

The letter “mah” also has a link to the air we breathe. “Mayim” is the Hebrew word for “water”. The Hebrew word translated as “heaven” is “shamayim.” These Hebrew words are nearly identical. The letter “shin,” colored black below, has been added to “mayim” and represents the only difference between them.
MYMV
Shamayim or Heaven
MYM
Mayim or Water

The “shin” is a picture of two front teeth meaning “second” so “shamayim” could also be translated as “second waters” from an ancient Hebrew perspective. The Heavens are filled with air which does include water vapor and the seas are filled with water. Air and water have similar characteristics. Both take the shape of their container.
Balloons filled with air are in the same shape as balloons filled with water. We cannot take one air out of a jar, just like we can’t take one water out of a jar. They are similar to one another.
Wind patterns in meteorology are also called “Jet Streams” because they flow like water in a river across the land. Based on this evidence, the letter “mah” could also represent the air we breathe. We can conclude that “death” is the marker in life when the breath in man or woman ceases. When the breath ceases, a man cannot talk and he cannot move. He is mute. Also, blood stops flowing which are essentially the rivers within the body. The man is dead. This is the definition of “death” or “die” from an ancient Hebrew perspective which can be confirmed when we observe the death of a loved one or patient. The breath has left the body.
According to Bereshith (Genesis) 2:16-17, if Adam ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Function and Dysfunction, he would cease to exist. His breath would be taken from him and he would be mute. He would not be able to talk or move. He could no longer communicate any messages with his words or his actions. This is “death” from an ancient Hebrew perspective.

Those who have made a decision to repent from their sins, will live for eternity in the Kingdom of Yahuah because they have chosen to live according to His Laws. They are “Law-abiding” citizens in His Kingdom. They will live forever depicted by the orange arrow.
Those who do not repent from their sins only live during the period of time marked in white. They will not inherit eternal life depicted by the orange line. They have exchanged their freedom to sin in this little blip of time for their eternal life. These people are considered “lawless” in the eyes of Yahuah because they do not abide by the Laws of His Kingdom.
Adam and Chavah (Eve) existed in the Garden of Eden with Yahuah. It was a place created specifically for mankind. Yahuah, Himself, placed Adam in the Garden of Eden.
And Yahuah Elohiym formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. And Yahuah Elohiym planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
Yahuah also placed the woman in the Garden of Eden.
And Yahuah Elohiym caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which Yahuah Elohiym had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
Adam was already in the Garden. Yahuah created woman and brought her to the man who was living in the Garden of Eden at that time. Both man and woman were there in the beginning.

These passages in Bereshith (Genesis) are also a prophecy which are being fulfilled again. If Yahuah has done something once, He can do it again and most likely will do so. Yahusha is Adam’s replacement as King and High Priest over all the earth. Yahuah placed Yahusha in the Garden after the resurrection. Yahusha is there right now. Yahuah formed him and put him in the Garden just like He did with Adam in the very beginning.
Yahuah is in the process of creating the woman or the bride of Messiah and will eventually bring her to Yahusha who is already living in the Garden of Eden. The creation of the woman is the last thing Yahuah did in the first week of Creation. It will be the last thing Yahuah does before the Shabbat in the second week of Creation. This is a prophetic pattern being repeated. We can see the Bride of Messiah being prepared for him in the earth right now.
The Garden of Eden was the “sacred space” created for mankind in the very beginning. It is our original “home”. The Tree of Life still exists in the Garden of Eden which allows one to live forever. However, Adam and Chavah sinned. They disobeyed the Voice of Yahuah.
And when the woman saw that the Tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a Tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Because they disobeyed the Voice of Yahuah and ate from the forbidden Tree, they were cursed; given a death sentence; and removed from the Garden of Eden. They exchanged their eternal life for the opportunity to sin.
Eating from the forbidden Tree cost them their eternal life.
Adam and Chavah had to give up their eternal life to participate in sin. They could not sin and have eternal life at the same time. They had to choose between the two:
- Participate in Sin and receive NO eternal life.
- Abide by our Father’s Laws and inherit eternal life.
They could not continue in sin and still have eternal life. We have been given the same choice except we are on the other side of the Garden of Eden. Adam and Chavah made their decision in the Garden of Eden and we are making our decision in the Wilderness. But it is the same decision set before us.
Adam and Chavah were also cursed. Not only is that little white line in our previous illustration short compared to our eternal life, but it is also cursed. Here are the Words spoken by our Father that stand against us. They are the Words that stand in the way
that prevent us from going back home.
And Yahuah Elohiym said unto the serpent, Because you have done this, you are cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon your belly shall you go, and dust shall you eat all the days of your life: And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; in sorrow you shall bring forth children; and your desire shall be to your husband, and he shall rule over you. And unto Adam he said, Because you have heard and obeyed the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it: cursed is the ground for your sake; in sorrow shall you eat of it all the days of your life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to you; and you shall eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return unto the ground; for out of it were you taken: for dust you are, and unto dust shall you return. And Adam called his wife’s name Chavah; because she was the mother of all living. Unto Adam also and to his wife did Yahuah Elohiym make coats of skins, and clothed them. And Yahuah Elohiym said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever: Therefore, Yahuah Elohiym sent him forth from the Garden of Eden, to till the ground from where he was taken. So, he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Kerubiym, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way of the Tree of Life.
This is the penalty for committing sin. The penalty has not changed. This is the Law of Yahuah. It stands forever. He cannot erase these Words. He cannot change these Words. They are settled. His Words are literally an invisible wall standing between us and the Garden of Eden where our Father dwells. It is an invisible rock wall that cannot be penetrated by anything.

In order to resolve this situation, Yahuah created a “door” in the wall that would allow people to cross-over to the other side. These are also the Laws written by the Prophet Moshe. Some of our Father’s Laws created the problem but it is also His Laws that provide the solution. They provide the “door” through the that impervious wall. That “door” is Messiah Yahusha.
I am the door: by me if any man enters in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Messiah Yahusha is the “door” in the wall that cannot be penetrated. This is also pictured in the Hebrew word, “Yahudah” which is the tribe to which he belongs. Here are the words Yahudah” and “Yahuah” in the Hebrew. Yahudah and Yahuah have the same exact letters except for one. The letter “dalet” has been added to Yahudah. The “dalet” is a picture of a “door” to a nomadic tent.

HDWHY
HWHY
This illustration is telling us that the “door” to Yahuah is through the tribe of Yahudah. Yahusha Ben David is from the tribe of Yahudah. Those who attempt to climb up some other way are thieves and robbers according to Yahusha.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

Alternative belief systems attempt to “climb-up” a wall to gain access into the Garden of Eden some other way than through the “door” provided by our Father. These are teachings from leaders who present a distorted Message of Salvation. For example, we can confess the name of Jesus all day long, but if we are still committing sins, we will not gain access to the Garden of Eden and the Tree of Life.
The Laws of Yahuah cannot be reversed or changed. His Word must be fulfilled. This is a foundational principle and attribute of our Father’s Word.
The Word of our Father cannot be left unfulfilled. ALL must be accomplished. This is the problem. It is His own Words that stand against us as stated in Colossians 2:13-14. Messiah Yahusha paid Adam’s debt by fulfilling these Words in Bereshith (Genesis) 3:14-24. Messiah Yahusha was resurrected which communicates to us that Yahuah accepted his offer and the debt has been satisfied. We are no longer obligated to pay this debt. Shaul says they have been nailed to the cross of Messiah.
Principle: The Words of Yahuah must be fulfilled. Not one single Word spoken by our Father can be left without being fulfilled.
For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the Sower, and bread to the eater: So shall My Word be that goes forth out of My Mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing where I sent it. (Yeshayahu/Isaiah 55:10-11)
Link to Study: What does it mean to “fulfill”?
Messiah Yahusha Ben David is the “door” in the wall. We cannot enter the Garden of Eden any other Way. We must go through the “door” in the wall where Yahusha will be standing. He says:
Not everyone that says unto me, Adonai, Adonai, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Adonai, Adonai, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work lawlessness.
Messiah Yahusha will be the one standing at the door, deciding who will be allowed to enter the Garden of Eden.
According to this testimony, the requirement for entry into the Garden of Eden is “doing the will of our Father” which is to repent from sins and obey His Voice which is His Word.

All witnesses are in agreement.
- In order to gain eternal life, one must have access to the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden.
- We must have a body of flesh that has not been corrupted by sin which means our bodies must be regenerated in a resurrection.
- We gain access to the Garden by repenting from sins which means obeying ALL of the Laws of Yahuah written by the Prophet Moshe.
Yahusha has made all of this possible by redeeming us from the first death mentioned in Bereshith (Genesis) 3:14-24. He nailed these Words spoken by our Father to his cross fulfilling them on our behalf.
