Message of Salvation

231-8 Passover as a Prophecy

Wherefore say unto the children of Yashar’El, I am Yahuah, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched-out arm, and with great judgments:

SHEMOTH (EXODUS) 6:6

The first Pesach (Passover) is an event that occurred in the past but it is also a prophecy describing the second greater exodus that will occur at the end of the age. Our Father’s Appointed Times are much more than memorials or special occasions. They are important messages given to us by our Creator which are replayed from generation to generation by those who are faithful to Him.

Each Appointed Time in our Father’s Calendar conveys a message regarding our Father’s plan to restore His Creation back to the way it was in the very beginning. The Pesach or Passover event is an account describing “redemption” from slavery, bondage and oppression. It is a prophetic picture of our Father’s plan to save mankind from the first death and its associated curses. Evidence illustrates that this prophecy was also fulfilled by our Messiah the first time he came and it will be fulfilled again to its full capacity when he returns a second time. Prophecies are patterns repeated over and over.

Our Father states that two to three witnesses establish truth. It is a foundational principle in His Kingdom. We use this principle in ALL of our studies to firmly establish truth.

Principle: Two to three reliable witnesses firmly establish Truth. This is based upon the following Law.

One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sins: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established. (Debarim/Deuteronomy 19:15)

Link to Study: What is Truth?

If the Pesach Prophecy is repeated over and over, each event is a witness verifying the pattern as the truth. The first Pesach (Passover) event was recorded by the Prophet Moshe thousands of years ago. It was an event experienced by the whole House of Yashar’El. It is documented in the Greek Septuagint, the Masoretic Text and the Samaritan Pentateuch. Moshe is our primary witness and the Prophet who spoke the prophecy conveyed by our Father.

If testimony from the eyewitness accounts of our Messiah’s birth, life, ministry, death and resurrection provide evidence that he fulfilled this prophecy, then these accounts are our second primary witness which would firmly establish the truth.

As discussed in our previous study, “fulfillment” is the action of manifesting actions and words in alignment with words stated previously. When our Father says, “you shall not steal;” the action of not stealing is fulfillment of these Words. If people choose to steal, these Words spoken by our Father are meaningless and have no value. They have devalued the Words of our Father by not fulfilling them.

Moshe recorded the parameters for the Pesach in the Torah and evidence illustrates that Messiah Yahusha fulfilled the parameters to their full capacity when he came the first time. The Words of Yahuah spoken through the Prophet Moshe represents the glass pitcher and Messiah Yahusha represents the water inside the pitcher. Yahusha has given the prophecy even greater meaning than the events that occurred during the first exodus.

The eyewitness accounts also known as the “New Testament” have been under the care of the Roman Catholic Church and Protestant Christianity over centuries. The leadership of the Yahudim rejected these testimonies from their inception so the Yahudim have not been involved in the preservation of the Greek writings. Most leaders in Christianity, generally do not observe Pesach (Passover) and are ignorant of the practices associated with this Appointed Time as well as the Feast of Matzah (Unleavened Bread). For this reason, it is highly unlikely that leadership in these belief systems could have manufactured the evidence in the eyewitness accounts showing how our Messiah fulfilled the Pesach (Passover) prophecy. Most do not even realize Pesach is a prophecy to this very day. Leaders in these belief systems promote a “rapture” and not a “second exodus” which illustrates their ignorance of our Father’s Ways. For these reasons, seeing evidence of our Messiah fulfilling the Pesach Prophecy is actual authentic testimony from people who were firsthand eyewitnesses to his birth, life, ministry, death, resurrection and ascension.

We must also understand that prophecies spoken and/or written by true prophets representing Yahuah Elohiym come to pass in every detail. This is a principle in the Kingdom of Yahuah with no exceptions to the rule. If a man or woman foretells an event claiming to represent our Father in Heaven and it does not come to pass, they are a false prophet and will receive the reward of a false prophet according to the Law.

content-image

People who are in direct communication with our Father, hear His Voice. They relay the message to people accurately. If people claiming to be prophets or prophetesses speak a message that does not come to pass, it is clear that they are NOT in communication with our Father. Why listen to them?

They have disqualified themselves and Yahuah can never use them as a prophet or prophetess. If our Father were to use them, it would validate testimony they have stated previously. He will not validate any falsehood so these people have been presumptuous which has disqualified them from ever representing Yahuah.

The Prophet Moshe IS a true prophet so everything that he has spoken will come to pass with absolute certainty and in every detail including the first Pesach.

Principle: Prophets representing Yahuah will foretell events that come to pass 100% of the time. If the event fails to come to pass, the individual is a false prophet and does not represent Yahuah. This principle is based upon the following Law:

And if you say in your heart, How shall we know the word which Yahuah has not spoken? When a prophet speaks in the name of Yahuah, if the thing follows not, nor comes to pass, that is the thing which Yahuah has not spoken, but the prophet has spoken it presumptuously: you shall not be afraid of him. (Debarim/Deuteronomy 18:21-22)

Link to study: What is a Prophet?

If the first Pesach (Passover) is a prophecy recorded by Moshe, then Messiah Yahusha would be required to fulfill the prophecy in every detail. Evidence reveals this is the truth. What are the mathematical odds that Messiah Yahusha would have fulfilled this prophecy in every detail by random chance? It would be impossible for him to fulfill these things by accident. Our Father spoke these Words into existence and His Words are being fulfilled to their full capacity. Because our Messiah fulfilled Pesach, we can conclude that his primary purpose is to redeem us from the bondage of sin and the first death.

In previous studies, we have identified the Words in Bereshith (Genesis) 3:14-24 as the hurdle that stands in the way between us and Yahuah. They are Words spoken by our Father describing the bondage placed upon ALL of mankind. Because ALL men and women are under this bondage, the redemption offered by Messiah Yahusha would also be imparted to ALL of mankind. Redemption is not just for the House of Yashar’El. This is the Good News!

The bondage in Egypt parallels the situation that occurred in the very beginning. The serpent beguiled Adam and Chavah (Eve) which caused them to commit sins against Yahuah Elohiym. For this reason, they were not permitted to stay in the Garden of Eden and were placed outside the Garden gates. They were placed in the wilderness which required hard labor in order to survive the elements. This is what testimony says:

And unto Adam he said, Because you have heard and obeyed the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it: cursed is the ground for your sake; in sorrow shall you eat of it all the days of your life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to you; and you shall eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, until you return unto the ground; for out of it were you taken: for dust you are, and unto dust shall you return.

Bereshith/Genesis 3:17-19

This is hard bondage. ALL of us are under these curses. ALL of us have thorns and thistles growing in our gardens. It takes effort to remove them so our desired plants can grow and prosper. We have to constantly develop insecticides, herbicides and pesticides to protect our food from insects, diseases, weeds and pests.

We have to develop intensive systems to water our crops, harvest them and process them. Every year it gets harder and harder for us. The soils are also depleted leaving our crops deficient in nutrients. This causes nutrient deficiencies in us as well. Thorns and thistles also represent people who cause strife and teach deception. When we speak the truth, we are overwhelmed by thorns and thistles who are there to undermine the truth spoken.

Here is our reality of our bondage:

  • Cursing the ground prevents it from thriving making it challenging to grow and harvest food. The ground is not cursed in the Garden of Eden. Plants thrive in this environment.
  • Insects eat our crops that we need for food which lead to famine. Insects are kept at bay in the Garden of Eden. They do not eat food crops so therefore, there is no famine in the Garden.
  • Diseases affect our food crops causing them to die prematurely which leads to famine. There are no diseases on plants in the Garden of Eden which means there will always be abundant food and no famine.
  • Weeds grow faster than our food crops stealing nutrients and water from the soil that could be used for our plants. This reduces the amount of food available to us which causes some to starve. There are no weeds in the Garden of Eden to choke out our food crops. Plants are allowed to flourish and prosper.
  • Because leaders do not follow the Laws of Yahuah and allow the land to rest every seven years, the soil has been depleted of nutrients and minerals which are necessary for our crops to flourish and prosper. This leads to nutrient and mineral deficiencies in us who eat these crops. Those who live in the Garden of Eden follow the Laws of Yahuah. The ground is allowed to rest every seven years and resupply the soil with needed nutrients and minerals.

Growing crops is challenging and must be done if we are to eat food. Without modern machinery, it requires people to go into the fields and work hard to harvest the crops. This produces sweat. In the Garden of Eden food is automatically grown and produces abundantly. There is no sweat involved. We just go outside and pick it.

Adam and Chavah (Eve) were living in the Garden of Eden where everything was provided and grew easily. They were without sin in this state. When they sinned, they brought bondage upon themselves and their offspring.

Curses were also placed upon the woman who is also a representation of the House of Yashar’El who is the bride of our Messiah.

Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; in sorrow you shall bring forth children; and your desire shall be to your husband, and he shall rule over you.

Bereshith/Genesis 3:16

Many empires have ruled over the House of Yashar’El like a harsh husband who rules over a wife. Yahuah said that the nations would be the “head” and that Yashar’El would be the “tail”.

The stranger that is within you shall get up above you very high; and you shall come down very low. He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him: he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail. Moreover, all these curses shall come upon you, and shall pursue you, and overtake you, till you be destroyed; because you did not hear and obey the voice of Yahuah your Elohiym, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded you:

Debarim/Deuteronomy 28:43-45

The nations have ruled harshly over their people. They do not use the Laws of Yahuah to rule their people. They are unjust, unrighteous and unmerciful. They have participated in a multitude of wars and crimes that have robbed men and women of their children causing great sorrow. This is hard bondage caused by those who commit sin. Adam and Chavah (Eve) are our example. We can conclude the following:

Committing Sin leads to Bondage

Adam and Chavah (Eve) sinned which caused them to be placed under bondage. People who commit sins today will remain in this bondage. People who continue to disobey the Laws of Yahuah written by the Prophet Moshe will remain in bondage. This is the truth.

The bondage in Bereshith 3:14-24 parallels the bondage experienced by the House of Yashar’El prior to the first exodus. The initial event happened in one small area of the world but it represents a much bigger picture that involves ALL of mankind as we have illustrated. Yahuah orchestrated these events to tell us His Plan for ALL of mankind. Fulfillment for mankind would be realized at the end of this age.

During the time of Moshe, the House of Yashar’El was enslaved by Pharaoh and his servants. They were treated harshly and their lives were made very difficult. The Egyptians were oppressing the House of Yashar’El significantly with hard labor. This is what testimony says:

And the Egyptians made the children of Yashar’El to serve with rigor: And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in mortar, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigor.

Shemoth/Exodus 1:13-14

When we read this passage, we see images from movies of Egyptian taskmasters whipping the Hebrews and torturing them. However, oppression comes in many forms. For example, in our present society, we are experiencing oppression in our world today. We are taxed and charged fees for everything we do. We are literally stripped of any wealth that we try to accumulate which has enslaved us.

Here is a chart from Turning Point USA illustrating just some of the fees and taxes paid by the average American citizen. We pay high interest for mortgages, car loans and student loans. We pay high inflation and tariffs imposed upon other countries. Businesses do not absorb the cost for the tariffs. They pass these expenses to the consumer. We are paying for the interest, taxes, inflation and tariffs for these businesses as well as our own.

The burdens we face today are exceedingly heavy. Some people work two to three jobs just to make ends meet.

We are literally being sucked dry and exploited at every angle. This event in Egypt is clearly being repeated again today and has likely been repeated in the collapse of every other empire that has ever existed. The reality is that greed is a monster that is never satisfied. As this last empire continues to collapse, oppression and hardship will likely increase as well because of this greed.

In Egypt before the first Pesach (Passover), the House of Yashar’El had also become quite numerous. The Egyptians feared that they would rebel, join their enemies in battle and over-power them so the Egyptians instituted practices to control population growth.

And the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah: And he said, When you do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then you shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.

Shemoth/Exodus 1:15-16

We are experiencing this today through abortion, sterilization, manufactured wars and birth control. These things are being used to control populations as well as other nefarious activities like corrupted food and water supplies. The Egyptians also controlled the population by casting every Hebrew son into the water.

And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born you shall cast into the river, and every daughter you shall save alive.

Shemoth/Exodus 1:22

We can expect more population control measures to come as resources diminish. Yahuah uses the sword, famine and pestilence to judge people.

For I will visit them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have visited Yerushalayim, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:

Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 44:13

The entire world is trampling upon His Laws. Climatic changes are occurring which will hinder food production and lead to famine. Wars have been escalating and so have occurrences of pestilence. The bondage in the first exodus is being fulfilled right now.

There is a pattern in the Pesach Prophecy. The House of our Father is on top of a mountain.

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My Set-apart Mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Yahuah, as the waters cover the sea.

Yeshayahu/Isaiah 11:9

Yahuah’s House is surrounded by the Garden of Eden. It is at a higher elevation than the land we live upon today. This means that Adam and Chavah travelled “down” into the wilderness, the Land of Eden. Here is an illustration of these elevations taken from our studies in Community and our Father’s Sacred Spaces.

The children of Yashar’El also went “down” into Egypt.

And he said, I am Elohiym, the Elohiym of your father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of you a great nation:

Bereshith/Genesis 46:3

It is the same pattern.

The House of Yashar’El did settle in the land after the first exodus but they strayed from our Father and His Ways. As a result, they were scattered among the nations and have fallen once again into the bondage of sin and oppression. They went “down” in elevation.

content-image

Here is an illustration showing these parallels to the bondage they experienced. Adam and Chavah came under the bondage of sin in the wilderness. The first time Yashar’El went down into Egypt because of the famine but it led to bondage and the first exodus. The House of Yashar’El has been scattered among all the nations of the world and are living in bondage of the harsh, greedy rulers of this current world system.

content-image

ALL of these situations have led these individuals and groups into bondage and slavery. The prodigal son is another example in Luke 15:11-32. He went to the nations and squandered his inheritance. Eventually, he also fell into bondage and was feeding the swine of his master.

And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

Luke 15:14-16

It is a pattern repeated over and over. The following statement is the truth that needs to be etched in our hearts.

Sin leads to Bondage

If we continue to practice sin, we stay in bondage. It is a choice. Our Messiah confirms this in the following passage:

Yahusha answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin.

Yochanan/John 8:34

If we are practicing sin, we are serving sin and not Yahuah Elohiym. Sin is a taskmaster likened to the Pharaoh who ruled prior to the first exodus. If we obey sin, we remain in bondage. If people obeyed Pharaoh, they would have remained in slavery. Shaul of Tarsus (Paul) said it this way:

Do you not know, that you yield yourselves as servants to the one you obey, you are the servants of the one you obey; whether it is sin which leads to death, or it is obedience unto righteousness?

Romans 6:16

If we obey sin, sin becomes our master. Based on Adam and Chavah’s example, sin leads to curses and death which is bondage. If we obey Yahuah like our Messiah did, Yahuah becomes our Master which leads to blessings and eternal life. It leads to freedom!

ALL of us have lived under the bondage of Adam’s sin our entire lives. We do not know what it is like to be free; living without the curses mentioned in Bereshith (Genesis) 3:14-24. We are slaves like the House of Yashar’El was in Egypt. The first Pesach (Passover) is essentially a microcosm illustrating the redemption of mankind from the curses mentioned in Bereshith 3:14-24. Our Father wants to us to be free from this bondage completely.

In the beginning, our Father created us to hear and obey His Laws. Adam and Chavah (Eve) existed without sin. This is their natural state. This is our natural state. When Adam and Chavah made a decision to hear and obey the voice of someone else, they were choosing to live by someone else’s standard and not the one established by Yahuah Elohym. Living by someone else’s standards causes us to be subject to their power and authority.

For example, people in the United States must comply with the heavy taxation, high interest and unbearable inflation. We are subject to their authority. The same is true for every other country in the world. We are at the mercy of these unjust and unrighteous rulers. ALL of this happened because Adam and Chavah (Eve) chose to sin against Yahuah. When we sin, we are communicating to our Father and Messiah that we like the bondage imposed by these leaders. We like the heavy taxation, high interest and unbearable inflation.

However, life under the power and authority of our Father in Heaven is freedom. We can accumulate wealth and prosper. In His Kingdom, there is justice and righteousness. Leaders in His Kingdom are not influenced by bribes from lobbyists seeking to fulfill their own interests. In His realm, there is no heavy taxation, high interest and unbearable inflation. There are no hidden fees attached to every transaction. Judgement is fair and equitable for the rich and the poor. His Laws are very, very good. Citizens in His Kingdom live according to His Laws. There is no bondage in His Kingdom. There is freedom from slavery.

Essentially, we have two forces living within us: our spirit and the desires of the flesh. When we are ruled by the desires of our flesh, we are ruled by the taskmaster, Sin. If we want to be intimate with our best friend’s wife, we strive to be intimate with her and satisfy the desires of the flesh. We do not tether our desires. When our spirit is the ruler, it subdues the desires of the flesh and does not act upon it. This manifests as the core value of discipline. If we have pledged allegiance to Yahuah, our spirit causes the desires of our flesh to be subject to His Laws. Our spirit has chosen of its own freewill to be subject to our Father’s Laws. This is freedom.

The desires of our flesh are very real and powerful. They are strong. If we are not accustomed to tethering our desires, they can cause us to continue to do behaviors that we really don’t want to do anymore. Giving into the desires of the flesh provide temporary pleasures but it passes. Then, we awaken again to the bondage. This is a cycle that is repeated over and over. If we do not break this cycle, we are destined for a miserable existence all the days of our lives now and in the resurrection. The desires of our flesh are the urges that cause us to commit sins. They are the root cause. If we control the primitive urges of our flesh, we can prevent ourselves from committing sins. Here is an illustration.

content-image

The woman is trying to lose weight because she is obese. She sees the chocolate cake and has an internal struggle within her. She wants to eat the cake because it tastes so good but she knows that it provides absolutely no nutritional value to her body. In fact, it hurts her body. She gives into the primitive urges of her flesh and eats the cake. It tastes good in the moment but after she has eaten it, she feels guilt. She doesn’t feel good. She is upset with herself because she was unable to resist the urge. As long as she is unable to tether her primitive urges, she is destined to repeat this cycle over and over. As a result, she will never lose weight and will continue to hurt her body. This is “walking in the flesh”. People who have challenges resisting their primitive urges in one area will likely have problems resisting in all areas. This is the root cause of all sin.

The truth that we do not realize in these situations is that the temporary pleasures obtained in these moments pale in comparison to the pleasure we experience when we are in relationship with Yahuah Elohiym. The pleasure we receive from Him is one that never passes or leaves. Our cup remains full to overflowing. We are no longer a slave to our flesh. Within our own bodies, we have two options.

  1. If we obey the desires of our flesh, we will remain under the curses (Sin) which is bondage.
  2. If we obey the Laws of Yahuah Elohiym, we receive blessings and are set free from bondage. We no longer experience any of the curses.

Adam and Chavah (Eve) obeyed the desires of their flesh. As a result, they inherited curses and the first death. Sin became their master. They gave up their eternal life in the Garden of Eden in the Presence of Yahuah for a piece of fruit. People today give up their eternal life in the Garden of Eden and the Presence of Yahuah to go to church on Sunday or celebrate Christmas. Are these temporal pleasures worth the price we have to pay for them? Most people follow the example set by Adam and Chavah and not the example set by our Messiah. He did not go to church on Sunday and never will. He never celebrated Christmas and never will. This is the truth.
