131-5 What is Law?
I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto you, and will put My Words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
The Word of Yahuah fulfills the definition of “Law”. Man’s words are not really “Laws” because they are not “permanent” like the Kingdom of Yahuah. Throughout the generations the sun has risen in the east and sets in the west. This is an unchanging Law that will always exist.
The “law” established by King Darius discussed previously is no longer relevant. It does not exist any longer because the Kingdom of the Medes and the Persians has fallen.
All manmade doctrines will fall and become irrelevant when our Messiah returns. They will perish with the leaders who promote these factions. Mankind does not have the power to save anyone. This is the main reason it is important to discern between the “Words of our Father” and the “words of men”. Our Father instructs His people NOT to add-to or subtract-from His Words.
You shall not add-to the word which I command you, neither shall you diminish-from it, that you may guard the commandments of Yahuah your Elohiym which I command you.
Our Father gives specific instructions to help us return to the Garden of Eden. If we add-to or subtract-from His instructions, we will not arrive at our desired destination. Let’s consider an example using GPS instructions.
- Our Father says drive 10 miles down Highway 365 from Jonesville. Take exit 23a and turn right on Cherry Lane. Drive 3 miles and turn left on Apple Drive. My house is the third one on the right.
This is the Torah with nothing added or subtracted. Someone comes along and says, “This is not the way to our Father’s house. Follow my directions. He showed me the way to go”. Then, he gives us the following directions:
- Drive 10 miles down Highway 365 from Jonesville. Take exit 23a and turn left on Cherry Lane. Drive 5 miles and turn right on Oak Drive. His House is the third one on the right.
If we follow this individual’s directions, will we arrive at our Father’s House?
The directions could be nearly identical to our Father’s instructions like the following example:
- Drive 10 miles down Highway 365 from Jonesville. Take exit 23a and turn right on Cherry Lane. Drive 3 miles and turn left on Apple Drive. My house is the second one on the right.
If we follow these directions, will we arrive at our Father’s House?
We would be close but we would still not arrive at our Father’s House. This why it is so important to distinguish our “Father’s Words” from the “words of men”. If we are following the directions of men or directions given to us by our Father that have been “tweaked” by men, we are not going to arrive at our desired destination in the resurrection.
In previous lessons in this series, we have illustrated that the Greek writings were written by “apostles” and not “prophets”. Shaul of Tarsus (Paul), clearly states that he is an “apostle”. He never once mentions that he is a “Prophet” representing our Father in heaven. His words are NOT the Words of Yahuah. They are his words.
If we follow the instructions in the Greek writings without using the Law and Prophets to properly interpret them, will we arrive at our Father’s House in the resurrection?
Doesn’t it make sense to verify these writings with the Word of Yahuah to ensure that they are giving us the most accurate instructions to our Father’s House? Yahusha clearly states that most people are on the broad road to destruction.
Enter in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in that one: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.
If we are following the Greek writings written by men without using the Law and the Prophets as a foundation to interpret them, then are we really on the “straight and narrow” way that leads to life? The “apostles” never intended their writings to replace the Word of the Most High Elohiym. In fact, Shaul of Tarsus (Paul) used the Law and Prophets to teach people his entire life.
And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of Elohiym, persuading them concerning Yahusha, both out of the Law of Moshe, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
Shaul taught the “Message of Salvation” from the Law and the Prophets. He did not use the letter to the Romans or Galatians. He used the Law and the Prophets. He used the Word of the Most High. If our salvation message cannot be observed in the Law and the Prophets, then are we truly believing the “Message of Salvation” actually taught by Shaul, our Messiah and his disciples? The Message of Salvation in the Law and the Prophets is very different than what has been taught by mainstream Christianity. Our goal in this series is to take our “perceptions” of His Word and carefully separate the testimonies that are His Words from the “words of men”. We are going through a distillation process to obtain the pure Word of Yahuah so that we can follow His directions to His House. Here is an illustration:
Our Father’s Word is actual “Law,” however, man’s words are not really “Law” because they are not permanent and unchanging. “Law” in our society is perceived as a rule established by a governing authority that outlines the standards for that society. They are binding upon the population and enforceable. From our perspective these “Laws” can be changed or morph over time to conform to cultural trends.
For example, homosexuality used to be a violation of a “law” and classified as a mental illness. Now, it is a cultural norm even in many religious belief systems. Because this is how “Law” is defined in our current world system, we tend to project this definition upon the Word of our Creator. We “think” His Laws can be changed to adapt to cultural norms. But this is NOT true. His “Laws” cannot be changed or deleted even by Him.
- Man’s Laws can be changed, deleted or altered. Words of men are not real “Laws”.
- Yahuah’s Laws cannot be changed, deleted or altered. His Word is actual “Law”.
Yahuah is our Creator. He fashioned everything into existence including the “Natural Laws” of the universe used in science and technology. These “Laws” more accurately describe the nature and character of our Father’s Law including that which is written by His Prophets. Following is an excerpt from an article, Scientists Baffled by Laws of Nature, discussing the nature and character of “Natural Laws”
The laws of nature do not apply only to earth. Our entire universe follows the same laws. And these laws never change.
Your coffee left on a counter will always become cool. Gravity remains steady, never random. The speed of light remains constant. The earth rotates in 24 hours. (This is so precise, we know the year we need to add a leap-second to our world clock, to keep it current.)
Doesn’t it seem strange that our universe is so orderly? Why is that?
Cosmologist Sean Carroll comments, “A law of physics is a pattern that nature obeys without exception.”1
Scientists today take for granted the idea that the universe operates according to laws. All of science is based on what author James Trefil calls the principle of universality: “It says that the laws of nature we discover here and now in our laboratories are true everywhere in the universe and have been in force for all time.”2
There’s more. As scientists record what they observe, most often they are not just using words and paragraphs. The laws of nature can be documented with numbers. They can be measured and computed in the language of mathematics.
The greatest scientists have been struck by how strange this is. There is no logical necessity for a universe that obeys rules, let alone one that abides by the rules of mathematics. The speed of light measures the same 186,000 miles per second, no matter if the light comes from a child’s flashlight or a star that’s galaxies away. The entire universe obeys these “Laws” without fail. This is how scientists and engineers can design planes that fly; boats that float; cars that drive; and helicopters that hover. The natural Laws are exact and are completely reliable without fail. If the factors that allow these things to work were to change all of the time, we would not have planes that fly; boats that float; cars that drive; and helicopters that hover.
As we discovered in our series regarding the Identity of our Intelligent Designer, Yahuah Elohiym is our Creator. We see the influence of His Language in ALL cultures, throughout all time. The word “EL” has been our main example.

We see the similarities between the crown and the head of the ox in the “aleph”. We see the similarities between the shepherd’s staff and the king’s scepter in the letter “lamed”. Kings are “strong authorities” who exercise power over their subjects. This is observed in every culture as illustrated:
ALL of us have descended from Adam and from Noach. We ALL descended from one family and we can see the influence of our Father’s original language.
He fashioned the entire heavens and earth. This is documented in Bereshith (Genesis) 1:1-2:4. He designed the “Natural Laws” of the Universe. The Voice that established these “Natural Laws” is the same Voice that was used to establish the Words of the Prophets. The speed of sound and the speed of light were created and established by Him. The Law of gravity was created and established by Him and ALL people everywhere are subject to these Laws. It does not matter if someone denies His Existence and/or His identity, they are still subject to these Natural Laws.
Let’s consider some examples of “Natural Laws” in the Word of Yahuah. The Voice of Yahuah established the following Law:
And Elohiym said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and Elohiym saw that it was good.
Tomato plants produce tomato seeds which reproduce plants that look just like them. They produce fruit exactly like the previous plant. Apple trees produce apple trees. Pomegranate trees produce pomegranate trees. Almond trees produce almond trees. Everything produces after its own kind, just as His Word describes. Pepper plants will not produce tomatoes. Pear trees will not produce pecans. “Like kind produces like kind”. Here is another example:
And Elohiym said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And Elohiym created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and Elohiym saw that it was good. And Elohiym blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
Eagles reproduce eagles. Swans reproduce swans. Whales reproduce whales. Salmon reproduce salmon. Every bird and sea creature reproduces after its own kind. Dolphins will not reproduce a shark. Sparrows will not reproduce a vulture. This is a “Natural Law” of the universe that is consistent, reliable and unchangeable. Here is another example:
And Elohiym said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And Elohiym made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps upon the earth after his kind: and Elohiym saw that it was good.
Gorillas reproduce gorillas. Cows reproduce cows. Bears reproduce bears. Gorillas and bears cannot reproduce by natural means. This is a “Natural Law” of the universe like the speed of sound, the speed of light and the Law of gravity. This is a unique characteristic of our Father’s Word. Every generation has been a witness of these Laws coming to pass. They cannot be changed or deleted.
Let’s consider an example using these “Natural Laws. A man says our Father has now allowed a gorilla and a bear to procreate. Would we believe him? No, we would not, because we do not see these things happening in nature. “Like kind produces like kind”. Because we ALL understand the Law of “like kind producing like kind” established by our Father, we know that the following statements made in the Book of Enoch I are false.
Wherefore have ye left the high, holy, and eternal heaven, and lain with women, and defiled yourselves with the daughters of men and taken to yourselves wives, and done like the children 4 of earth, and begotten giants (as your) sons? And though ye were holy, spiritual, living the eternal life, you have defiled yourselves with the blood of women, and have begotten (children) with the blood of flesh, and, as the children of men, have lusted after flesh and blood as those also do who die 5 and perish. Therefore have I given them wives also that they might impregnate them, and beget 6 children by them, that thus nothing might be wanting to them on earth. But you were formerly 7 spiritual, living the eternal life, and immortal for all generations of the world. Angels would be considered a different “kind”. They should not be able to reproduce with women by natural means. This passage also says that our Father had not appointed wives to them. If this is the case, then why do they have male organs? Why do they have sperm? These things have a specific function and are used to reproduce young. We see this in our own “kind” as well as all other animals. If “Angels” were not supposed to reproduce, then why would Yahuah create them with male organs and sperm that would actually fertilize the egg of a woman?
We know from our own observations that sperm from one kind cannot reproduce with another kind. It is a “Natural Law”. According to our Father’s order, “angels” should not be able to physically breed with women. We do not see this in the “Natural Laws” of our Father. The only way one kind mixes with another kind is in the laboratory through genetic manipulation. Based on this evidence alone, we can conclude that the Book of Enoch I is NOT the “Word of our Father” because it contradicts the writings of the Prophets as illustrated.
When people say that the Book of Enoch I, is the Word of Yahuah, they are adding-to the Word of our Father. They are giving people “extra” instructions to our Father’s House. It is highly likely, people who follow these writings will NOT arrive at our Father’s House. They are mixing “words of men” with our “Father’s Words”. It is like they are telling us that His House is the second one on the right and not the third house on the right.
We just made a separation between the Words of Yahuah and the words in the Book of Enoch 1. This book was not written by a Prophet representing Yahuah. It does not contain the Testimony of Yahuah Elohiym because it contradicts the Laws of Yahuah spoken by His Voice.
He established a Law that says “like kind produces like kind”. Enoch 1 says, angelic beings who are one kind mated with women who were a different kind. He says their offspring were giants. Which statement is true? The evidence that we can see with our own eyes tells us that it is impossible for one kind to procreate with another kind. People who believe the testimony in Enoch 1 will project their perspective on the text in Bereshith (Genesis) 6 and see giants and not evil men. We have a four-part series on the Nephilim that clearly provides the evidence that their offspring were evil men and not the offspring of angels and women.
The Laws of our Father are steadfast, reliable, consistent, constant and cannot be changed even by Him.
His Laws are fixed and immoveable. Here is another example:
And unto Adam he said, Because you have heard and obeyed the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it: cursed is the ground for your sake; in sorrow shall you eat of it all the days of your life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to you; and you shall eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return unto the ground; for out of it were you taken: for dust you are, and unto dust shall you return.
These are curses pronounced upon Adam that still influence us today. Everyone regardless of their respective belief systems experience these curses. ALL of us have thorns and thistles growing in our gardens. ALL of us return to the dust of the earth when we die. We cannot change or delete these Laws. These Words spoken by our Father are the problem that prevents us from having access to the Garden of Eden and the Tree of Life. We discuss this in the Message of Salvation in the Torah in our study titled, the Ordinances that Stand Against Us.
The same Voice who spoke these “Laws” into existence spoke ALL the Words of the Prophets. It is for this reason, the Prophet Yeshayahu (Isaiah) says that the Word of Yahuah stands FOREVER (Yeshayahu 40:8). It is for this reason, that our Messiah says that not one jot or tittle shall pass from the Law (Mattithyahu 5:19). His Word is eternal. Once spoken, it stands FOREVER.
