Yom Teruah

541-5 Yom Teruah: The Transition

Speak unto the children of Yashar’El, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, you shall have a Shabbat, a memorial of blowing of Teruah, a set-apart gathering.

VAYIQRA (LEVITICUS) 23:24

The Creation account establishes a pattern. Creation occurred in the Spring of the year at the beginning of the first month at the time when everything “springs forth” from the earth. Grasses begin to grow; trees begin to bud and flowers begin to bloom. Every Spring, we can see for ourselves that this is the time of “springing forth”.

Spring was the time of year when our Messiah was resurrected from the dead. He was the first-fruits of the resurrection. He literally “spring-forth from the grave”.

In the Creation account, the land appears; the sun, moon and stars appear; the seas are filled with life; the heavens are filled with birds; the land is filled with plants and trees; animals appear; and man was created. This is right in alignment with the significance of Spring. It represents the beginning of life. Adam and Chavah were created in the Spring on the sixth day which is the day right before the first weekly Shabbat.  Here is an illustration:

Then, there is a slight transition into Summer. Life multiplies; plants grow bigger and bear fruit. At the end of Summer, fruits are harvested and preserved for the Fall and Winter months. At this point there is another transition which is marked by falling leaves.

Yom Teruah is the first day of the seventh month which is the last month that marks the end of summer and the final harvest. Leaves turn colors and “fall” from the trees and the earth looks like it is beginning to “die”. Plants begin to go dormant and stop growing. This season is associated with the Fall of Mankind which caused “death” to enter the world. Adam and Chavah sinned on the first day of the seventh month. This means they were in the Presence of Yahuah in the Garden of Eden for approximately 6 months. Here is another illustration:

It was at this point that death entered the world. It is represented by the season of Winter.

Everything looks dead. Mankind has been living in the seasons of Fall and Winter since that time. Nothing is growing. We are surrounded by death and destruction. After Winter, there is another transition. Spring comes again. This is the season of the resurrection. Our Father is telling us that things might look dead, but they really are not dead. They are sleeping. There will come a time when those things that appear dead will come back to life, grow and bear fruit. There will be a resurrection of the dead.

The transition between Winter and Spring is stark. Things that look dead spring forth into life with beautiful blooms, sprouting grasses and warm temperatures. Things look alive!

This represents the transition between the Kingdom of Darkness to the Kingdom of Light. But if Messiah Yahusha returns on Yom Teruah, this is during the Fall and not the Spring. We must remember, there is a War between Heaven and Earth. The leaders of this current world system are not going to go down without a fight. They would lose ALL of their power and authority. Egypt during the first exodus was an example:

And Yahuah said unto Moshe, When you go to return into Egypt, see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in your hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go. And you shall say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith Yahuah, Yashar’El is my son, even my firstborn: And I say unto you, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if you refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay your son, even your firstborn.

Shemoth/Exodus 4:21-23

Yahuah had to perform ten plagues through Moshe before Pharoah submitted to our Fathers request. Messiah Yahusha Ben David is coming to replace the Kings of the earth. They have to relinquish their power and control over their people. They are going to resist. It will be necessary for our Father to perform plagues through Messiah Yahusha before they will submit to his power and authority. It will be a repeat of the events during the first exodus from Egypt but on a much greater scale. It will involve ALL the Kingdoms of the earth.

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am Elohiym, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the Word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Yeshayahu/Isaiah 45:22-23

Every knee will bow to the King but it will require some convincing from our Father. It will terminate in the death of the firstborn just like it did in Egypt. The firstborn sons of Adam are those who are in leadership positions in the earth. They have permitted abortions which is the shedding of innocent blood. This defiles the land.

So, ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defiles the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.

Bemidbar/Numbers 35:33

The earth cannot be cleansed unless the blood of those responsible for that bloodshed have been killed. This is necessary because the bodies of every individual who died has decayed and returned to the dust of the earth. Their bodies are trapped in the dust of the earth and have been defiled by the innocent bloodshed caused by Adam and his sons. The earth must be cleansed before they can be resurrected. This is why there will be a repeat of the plagues in Egypt including the death of the firstborn. This will occur at midnight in the first month on the fifteenth of the month just like it did in Egypt.

And it came to pass, that at midnight Yahuah smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

Shemoth/Exodus 12:29

When the firstborn sons of Adam perish in this event, Messiah Yahusha can officially assume the throne over all the nations of the earth as the eternal King who will rule and reign using the Laws of his Father written by the Prophet Moshe.

Messiah Yahusha returns after a long period of time just like the Prophet Moshe. Yahusha returns on Yom Teruah. He tells the inhabitants of the earth to submit to him and the Laws of our Father. People resist. The leaders of the earth resist. Messiah Yahusha pours out plagues just like Moshe did in Egypt. Each plague gets worse and worse until it terminates in the death of the firstborn on the first night of the Feast of Matzah (Unleavened Bread). The people responsible for the shedding of innocent blood are dead and the earth has been cleansed. This allows those who are dead to be resurrected without defilement. This will occur on First-Fruits just like it did for Messiah Yahusha.

Because the firstborn Sons of Adam have perished, Messiah Yahusha is allowed to assume his position as King over all the inhabitants of the earth. Those who have accepted the redemption of Messiah Yahusha are protected when the plagues have been poured out upon the inhabitants of the earth. Those who have accepted his redemption are those who are in the process of repenting from their sins and acknowledge him as their King. The 144,000 in Revelation are protected and this is how they are described.

And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goes. These were redeemed from among men, being the First-Fruits unto Elohiym and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of Elohiym.

Revelation 14:3-5

These people have entered into covenant with Yahuah Elohiym and Messiah Yahusha through the covenant given at Mount Sinai. They have repented from all of their sins and are without fault before the throne of Yahuah. They are virgins. They do not practice any idolatry which means they hear and obey the Voice of Yahuah Elohiym only. These are the kind of people protected during the plagues that will be poured out upon the earth through our Messiah.

The “shin” is a picture of teeth. When a child loses its tooth, the permanent tooth just starts to appear. Children begin losing their baby teeth at the age of six years. The tooth is being revealed. The tooth is being exchanged for something superior. The two shins can represent Adam and Chavah. They are the baby teeth being replaced at the age of six or in this case 6000 years.

  • Mankind was created on the sixth day.
  • Mankind was in the Garden of Eden for sixth months.
  • The number six in Hebrew is two letter shins which are pictures of teeth.
  • Children begin losing their baby teeth at the age of six.
  • The striving between Yahuah and man will end after 120-Yovel Cycles or 6000 years.
  • The number of the beast is 666.
  • The number of mankind is six because he was created on the sixth day.

Our Father in Heaven is trying to communicate something to us. The Word also tells us that Hebrew slaves are released in the sixth year.

This transition occurs at the 6000th year since the day Adam and Chavah sinned in the Garden of Eden. We discussed this timeline mentioned in Bereshith (Genesis) 6:6 in previous lessons but there is a pattern that supports this conclusion. Mankind was created on the sixth day and he existed in the Garden of Eden for six months as previously illustrated. The word for the number six is two shins.

And if your brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, be sold unto you, and serve you six years; then in the seventh year you shall let him go free from you. And when you send him out free from you, you shall not let him go away empty: you shall furnish him liberally out of your flock, and out of your floor, and out of your winepress: of that wherewith Yahuah your Elohiym has blessed you, you shall give unto him.

Debarim/Deuteronomy 15:12-14

This parallels the resurrection in the 6000th year. ALL Hebrews will be released in the 6000th year. Hebrews are those who have crossed over to the other side. They bear the sign of the Shabbat on the seventh day.

Speak you also unto the children of Yashar’El, saying, Verily my Shabbats you shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that you may know that I am Yahuah that does set you apart.

Shemoth/Exodus 31:13

Through the generations, the House of Yashar’El and the House of Yahudah have been practicing for the millennial reign of our Messiah when they observe the Shabbat on the seventh day. It is the sign of someone crossing over to the other side. Debarim (Deuteronomy) 15:12-14 says that Hebrew slaves are released in the seventh year. This is the defining characteristic between the first resurrection and the second resurrection. Only Hebrew slaves are released in the sixth year or sixth cycle. This tells us who the people will be in the first resurrection.

Our Messiah will be ruling and reigning over the inhabitants of the earth for a thousand years in the seventh day or the seventh millennium. He will be using the Laws of our Father written by the Prophet Moshe to rule and reign. Those who are unfamiliar with these Laws or those who despise them will be a liability and not an asset during this timeframe. There is no point to resurrect these people at this juncture. The only people who will rule and reign with our Messiah are those who know the Laws written by the Prophet Moshe. They know them. They live them and they teach them.

If people do not know these Laws, how can our Messiah use them to rule and reign with him?

People who do not know the Laws of Yahuah are a liability and not an asset. People who hate the Laws of Yahuah will simply not be there. They will be resurrected after the thousand-year reign of our Messiah and judged according to their works.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before Elohiym; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Revelation 20:12

Our Messiah has come to “fulfill” the Law and Prophets, not to “abolish”. This is what he came to do the first time and this is what he will come to do upon his return.

Think not that I am come to destroy the Law, or the Prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the Law, till all be fulfilled.

Mattithyahu/Matthew 5:17-18

Here is an example of a Law in the Torah that is still not fulfilled.

Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the Shabbat of rest, set-apart to Yahuah: whosoever does any work in the Shabbat day, he shall surely be put to death.

Shemoth/Exodus 31:15

The Sons of Adam do not rule and reign according to the Laws of our Father written by the Prophet Moshe. They do not put people to death for violating this Law. They allow and encourage people to work on the seventh day. This Law has not been fulfilled YET. Our Messiah said that he has come to “fulfill” the Law, not to destroy it. This means that this Law will be fulfilled upon his return. Everyone who works on the seventh day Shabbat will be put to death. Everyone who makes their employees work on the seventh day Shabbat will be put to death. This is confirmed in the following passage:

And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, says Yahuah.

Yeshayahu/Isaiah 66:23

How will this be accomplished? We will have a King and a government with authority over all the earth who rules and reigns according to the Laws of our Father written by the Prophet Moshe. The new covenant in Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 31:31-34 does not delete the Laws written by Moshe. The Laws are transferred from tablets of stone to our hearts. No Law will ever be deleted. ALL of our Father’s Laws stand forever (Yeshayahu 40:8).
