541-6 Yom Teruah: The Return
Speak unto the children of Yashar’El, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, you shall have a Shabbat, a memorial of blowing of Teruah, a set-apart gathering.
Throughout this series, we have learned that Yom Teruah is determined by observing the first light of the waxing crescent over Yerushalayim (Jerusalem). The commandment goes forth throughout the earth that the sliver of the waxing crescent has been observed by at least two reliable witnesses using the naked eye. This marks the first day of the seventh month which is also a Shabbat in our Father’s Kingdom.
We are instructed to “remember” the events that occurred on this day in the very beginning of Creation. Based on the evidence, we have concluded that Yom Teruah is the Day that Adam and Chavah sinned, opening the door to utter depravity for generations. It was the beginning of the War between Heaven and Earth. An “alarm” sounded declaring this War which is the sound of the “Teruah”. It is a broken sound like a woman sobbing over the loss of her child. It is the day that our Father’s son died causing Him great pain and suffering.
Yahuah spoke a prophecy in the midst of His great disappointment. He would raise up a seed for His dead son so that the name of His dead son would not be blotted out forever. In the midst of the curses mentioned in Bereshith (Genesis) 3:14-24, Yahuah stated the following:
And I will put enmity between you [the serpent] and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.
The seed of woman is the Son who Yahuah would raise up to preserve the name of His dead Son, Adam. The seed of woman is Messiah Yahusha Ben David who born of a virgin. This prophecy says that our Messiah will strike the head of the serpent’s seed. The identifying characteristic of the serpent is deception.
And Yahuah Elohiym said unto the woman, What is this that you have done? And the woman said, The serpent deceived me, and I did eat.
The serpent used deception to cause the woman to disobey the Voice of Yahuah Elohiym. The “seed of the serpent” are those who deceive others and causes people to disobey the Voice of Yahuah Elohiym which is His Word. These are represented by the sons of Adam who are in rebellion and teach people to disobey the Laws of our Father written by the Prophet Moshe. The seed of the serpent is the successor to Adam’s dominion; his firstborn sons who rule and reign according to their own Laws. It was on this day when this prophecy was spoken that Adam lost his power and control over the inhabitants of the earth. Adam reigned for six months in the Garden and his sons will reign for 6000 years based on this pattern. Here is an illustration:

At the end of 6000 years, there will be a transition from the Kingdoms of this world to the Kingdom of Yahuah. If Adam sinned on the first day of the seventh month, then his reign will end on the first day of the seventh month or the first day of the seventh millennium. This interpretation is also confirmed in the following passage:
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Yahusha, and for the word of Elohiym, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Messiah a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and set-apart is he that has part in the first resurrection: on such the second death has no power, but they shall be Kohanim of Elohiym and of Messiah, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Those in the first resurrection will reign with Messiah Yahusha for a thousand years during the Shabbat millennium after he obtains power and control over the earth. This is another pattern noted in the Word of Yahuah.
- Each week, the House of Yashar’El works six days and then, rests on the seventh day.
- The land is to be worked six years and rest on the seventh year in which there is no sowing and reaping.
- Seven sets of seven years are a Yovel or Jubilee Cycle in which the earth is at rest as well.
The seventh millennium will be a time of rest for the inhabitants of the earth which cannot be achieved by the Sons of Adam because they rule and reign according to their own Laws. They rule and reign with oppression and violence. From Yahuah’s perspective, His Laws will achieve lasting peace and prosperity. It will be a Kingdom of Shalom.
We also know that a “Day” can equal 1000 years because Yahuah had told Adam that he would die on the day he ate from the forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden.
And Yahuah Elohiym took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And Yahuah Elohiym commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden you may freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat from it, you shall surely die.
However, Adam did not die within 24 hours from the time that he ate from the forbidden tree. He died when he was 930 years old, just 70 years shy of a millennium or the first “Day” of this particular week of creation.
And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
Based on this evidence, a “Day” can equal 1000 years from the perspective of our Creator. The Reign of Adam and his sons is symbolic of darkness or “night” because they are NOT using the Laws of Yahuah Elohiym to rule the earth. They allow sin to abound which causes darkness, destruction, violence and severe oppression. The reign of Messiah is light or “Day” because he will rule according to the Laws of Yahuah written by the Prophet Moshe. Here is an illustration showing this pattern:

This is why the 24-hour period we identify as a “day” in our world begins with night. It is a message to us from our Creator. We are born in darkness to this current world system; we go to sleep which is the first death; then we awaken in the morning to the “Day” which is symbolic of the resurrection.
- First birth: born into darkness under the reign of the sons of Adam
- First death: we go to sleep at night which is symbolic for the first death
- Second birth: we awaken in the morning as the light begins to shine at Sonrise. This is the resurrection or awakening for those who have fallen asleep (the first death).
It is a pattern that communicates a message to us. It alleviates our anxiety because we know we are just going to sleep when we die. When we awaken, we will be resurrected to a new life under the rule of Messiah Yahusha Ben David. It is like the transition from Winter to Spring. Based on this pattern, we know the resurrection will occur when he returns and the “Day” begins or the seventh millennium. This is validated in the following testimony:
For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which has sent me, that of all which he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the LAST DAY. And this is the will of him that sent me, that everyone which sees the Son, and believes on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY. The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. And they said, Is not this Yahusha, the son of Yoseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he says, I came down from heaven? Yahusha therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY. It is written in the prophets, And they shall all be taught of Elohiym. Every man therefore that has heard, and has learned of the Father, comes unto me.
The resurrection occurs on the last day which is the seventh day of the week or the seventh millennium. Judgement also occurs on the last day:
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the LAST DAY. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment [Yahuah’s commandments] is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
According to testimony in Revelation, the resurrection of the righteous occurs at the beginning of the thousand years and the judgement occurs at the end of the thousand years on the last day. Testimony also tells us the “seventh day” has no end because it is the only day in the Creation account that does not end with the phrase, “there was evening and morning, the seventh day”.
Thus, the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day Elohiym ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And Elohiym blessed the seventh day, and set it apart: because that in it he had rested from all his work which Elohiym created and made.
The “seventh day” is perpetual. It will last forever. This is further confirmed by the Prophet Yeshayahu:
Violence shall no more be heard in your land, wasting nor destruction within your borders; but you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise. The sun shall be no more your light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto you: but Yahuah shall be unto you an everlasting light, and your Elohiym your glory. Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall your moon withdraw itself: for Yahuah shall be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended. Your people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I Yahuah will hasten it in his time.
The “seventh day” or seventh millennium will never end. Yahuah Elohiym will be our Everlasting Light! HalleluYah! And our mourning will come to an END! This is further confirmed by the prophet Dani’El:
This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king. You, O king, are a king of kings: for the Elohiym of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven has he given into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all. You are this head of gold. And after you shall arise another kingdom inferior to you, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and subdues all things: and as iron that breaks all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. And whereas you saw the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as you saw the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas you saw iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. And in the days of these kings shall the Elohiym of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. Forasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great Elohiym has made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
The last Kingdom established on the earth will never end. It will stand forever. It will destroy the remnants of all other kingdoms which is the “Reign of Adam and his sons” or the “seed of the serpent”. There will be a transition on the first day of the seventh month prior to the first day of the seventh millennium which will be a Yovel (Jubilee) of Yovels!
On Yom Teruah, people typically blow shophars which are trumpets made from the horns of clean animals. The Hebrew word “shophar” is an instrument used to create the sound of the teruah on Yom Teruah. The Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible written by Jeff A. Benner defines “shophar” the following way:
RPWF ( masc., שופר / sho-phar ) Translation: RAM.HORN Definition: The horn of ram made into a trumpet that emits a bright and beautiful sound. Edenics: spiral – the shape of the ram’s horn KJV Translations: trumpet, cornet Strong’s Hebrew #: h.7782
The “shophar” is the horn of a ram made into a trumpet emitting a bright and beautiful sound which describes our modern-day trumpets as well. The Hebrew root of this word is defined the following way by The Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible:
PF שף Action: Strike, Swallow Object: Serpent Definition: A serpent (venomous snake) has sharp fangs in the mouth. Its prey is taken into the mouth swallowed by drawing down into the belly. Ancient Hebrew: The pictograph F is a picture of the teeth, the P is a picture of the mouth. Combined these mean “sharp teeth in the mouth”.
“Shophar” is related to a “serpent” with “sharp teeth in the mouth”. The “serpent” uses its fangs to strike its victims with poison. The Hebrew word related to the actual strike of the serpent is in this same Hebrew word family which is mentioned in Bereshith (Genesis) 3:15. The Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible defines it as:
PWF (שוף) Definition: A striking of the serpent.
PWF ( common, שוף / sh.w.p) Translation: FALL.UPON (V) Definition: To suddenly and forcefully crash upon someone or something. KJV Translations: bruise, break, cover Strong’s Hebrew #: h.7779

This Hebrew word is actually most often translated as “bruised” in Bereshith (Genesis) 3:15 but a better word would be “strike” as in the “strike of a serpent”. Here is the passage using “strike” in place of “bruise”.
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall strike [H7779] your head, and you shall strike [H7779] his heel.
We can see this phrase “strike the head” in the ancient Hebrew pictographic language of the Hebrew word “shophar”. It is highlighted in orange in the Hebrew word “shophar”.

“Shophar”
Strike the Head
This word literally means “strike the head” as a serpent. We can see the two front teeth and the mouth. The “vav” is a hook which would symbolize a bite. The Shophar represents a serpent successfully biting the head of a man or its leadership. When people go to war, they defeat the leadership of the opposition. They are decapitated. The Shophar is an instrument used in times of war as an alarm or a teruah. The Appointed Time associated with the “shophar” is “Yom Teruah” or the “Day of Trumpets”.
Our Messiah is going to return on the “the day and hour no man knows” which is Yom Teruah.
But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the messengers of heaven, but my Father only.
It is the only Appointed Time of our Father that cannot be determined until the day it arrives. It is based upon the sighting of the waxing sliver of the crescent moon. It could be observed on the 29th or 30th day of the month. We do not know the day or hour until it is sighted by two reliable witnesses with the naked eye. In the context of the passage, Yahusha is referring to his return.
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
The testimony in Mattithyahu (Matthew) 24:30-31 parallels the following prophecy spoken by the Prophet Moshe.
That THEN Yahuah your Elohiym will turn your captivity, and have compassion upon you, and will return and gather you from all the nations, where Yahuah your Elohiym has scattered you. If any of yours be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from there will Yahuah your Elohiym gather you, and from there will he fetch you:
Both of these passages are speaking about the regathering of the House of Yashar’El. It is highly likely a reference to the same event. When our Messiah returns, the prophet Yeshayahu (Isaiah) says that he slays the wicked with the “breath of his lips”. This is a “strike” like the bite of a serpent.
But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
This passage in Yeshayahu (Isaiah) parallels the following in Revelation:
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he does judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of Elohiym. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty Elohiym.
Again, we see the picture of a sharp sword coming from his mouth to smite the nations like the bite of a serpent. This text is saying that he uses the Word of Elohiym which at the time this document was written was the Law, the Hebrew Prophets and the Tehillim (Psalms). This is further confirmed in the following passage:
He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.
Tehillah (Psalm) 110 is a prophecy regarding our Messiah. It says he will judge the heathen. He will fill the place with dead bodies. These dead people are those who violate the Laws of our Father written by the Prophet Moshe. It says that he will “wound the heads over many countries”. This is a fulfillment of Bereshith (Genesis) 3:15 which says that he will “strike the head of the serpent”. This is a reference to leadership position held by the firstborn son of Adam in this generation. These are leaders who teach people to violate the Laws of our Father written by the Prophet Moshe. They have deceived the people.
The evidence is overwhelming. Messiah Yahusha Ben David will return on Yom Teruah. Each year we scan the skies for the first light of the waxing sliver of the crescent moon on the first day of the seventh month. We are looking for the return of our King who will restore righteousness and justice in the earth. The shophar will sound the alarm or the Teruah. Our cries for justice ascend to the throne of our Father. He will hear us. He will deliver us from the hands of cruel leaders and send us His Son, Messiah Yahusha Ben David.
It will be a joyous day for us because it means and end to deception, depravity and evil. However, it will be a devastating day for the Sons of Adam and those who have aligned themselves with the rebellion. It marks the beginning of the final battle before the King assumes power and control over all the inhabitants of the earth. We are sounding the alarm for the final battle when we blow the shophar on Yom Teruah. These are the things we are to memorialize on this Day and they will be remembered forever in our Father’s Kingdom.
