Our Father's Name

121-7 His Name is Set-Apart

Neither shall you profane My Set-apart Name; but I will be set-apart among the children of Yashar’El: I am Yahuah which sets you apart, that brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your Strong Authority: I am Yahuah.

VAYIKRA (LEVITICUS) 22:32-33

Our Father is separated from mankind by a wall surrounding the Garden of Eden. There is a gate to the Garden but it is guarded by Kerubiym. Mankind cannot enter the gate in our present state. Yahuah is Set-Apart from us. He is in the Garden and we are on the outside of the Garden in the wilderness. Essentially, there are two realms, separated from one another.

Citizens in the Earthly Kingdom are set-apart from citizens in the Heavenly Kingdom and vice versa. They are operating in different realms. Each Kingdom has a different “Strong Authority” or “Elohiym”. Each Strong Authority has its own set of Laws. People who are citizens of the Earthly Kingdom abide by the Laws established by its Strong Authority who are the Sons of Adam. People who are citizens of the Heavenly Kingdom abide by the Laws established by its Strong Authority who is Yahuah. The Laws, language, mindset, manners and customs of each Kingdom separate the citizens from one another. They are set-apart.

Yahuah Elohiym is Set-Apart from those who dwell in the present Earthly Kingdom. We were born into the present Earthly Kingdom and live within its realm. In the beginning, Adam had sinned and was removed from the Garden of Eden. He was denied access. Therefore, all of his children have been denied access as well.

And Yahuah Elohiym said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever: Therefore, Yahuah Elohiym sent him forth from the Garden of Eden, to till the ground from where he was taken. So, he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the Garden of Eden Kerubiym, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way of the Tree of Life.

Bereshith/Genesis 3:22-24

This means we have no possible way to access the Tree of Life and live forever in this state. Our physical body has been corrupted. Yahuah devised a plan to help a remnant of people cross-over to the other side where He dwells. These are “Hebrews” or “Ebers”. This group of people were defined in our study titled, What is a Hebrew? Sin is the behavior that removed us from the Garden of Eden so in order to return to the other side, people must make a decision to stop sinning. Here is the process illustrated.

People stop sinning, when they obey the Laws of Yahuah. It is the Laws of Yahuah that sets people apart from the citizens in the Earthly Kingdom. When people stop sinning, they have made a personal decision to be citizens in the Heavenly Kingdom. They look different and behave differently. They are not doing what everyone else is doing. They are alone. They have separated themselves from the practices established in the Earthly Kingdom. In the resurrection when their bodies are regenerated, they will cross-over to the other side into the Garden of Eden. Those who chose not to set themselves apart will not be able to cross-over to the other side. They will remain in the wilderness.

People in the Earthly Kingdom catch a vision of the other side. They see the lush green field across the river and are looking for a way to cross the river to the other side. However, Yahuah is the only One who can make a way across the river to the other side. This is prophetically pictured in the following passage:

And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Yarden, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people; And as they that bare the ark were come unto Yarden, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Yarden over-flowed all his banks all the time of harvest,) That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Yericho. And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of Yahuah stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Yarden, and all the Yashar’Elites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Yarden.

Yahusha/Joshua 3:14-17

This was the only way for the House of Yashar’El to cross the Yarden (Jordan) River. They walked across the river on dry ground. Yahusha, Son of Nun, led them across the river. Yahusha Ben David also known as “Jesus” will help a group of faithful people cross-over a river into the Garden of Eden.

This faithful group of people have chosen to be citizens of that Kingdom on the other side of the river. They see freedom from oppression, taxation and heavy burdens. They see a Kingdom in which citizens treat one another with kindness and respect. They see a community of people who cooperate with one another. They see an end to perpetual wars, violence, apathy and anarchy. The Laws of Yahuah ensure that these things will not occur in the Heavenly Kingdom.

This faithful group of people wants to be a citizen in the Heavenly Kingdom. They prepare themselves to be citizens by learning our Father’s Way. They learn to align their thoughts, behaviors and words with His Laws while they are living in the Earthly Kingdom. They learn how to stop sinning. Because they have stopped sinning, they will be permitted to cross-over to the other side into the Kingdom of Yahuah in their resurrected or regenerated bodies. People who continue to sin cannot cross-over to the other side because sin causes oppression, violence, wars, apathy and anarchy. Sin is the source of cruelty, disrespect and division.

If people who continued to practice sin were allowed to cross-over, they would corrupt the Kingdom of Yahuah. We would end up with a society like we have today which is not sustainable for an eternal Kingdom. In order to protect the Heavenly Kingdom, Yahuah prevents people who practice sin from entering the Garden. This is why there are Kerubiym guarding the gates to the Garden. In order to gain access, every single individual must be approved by Messiah Yahusha Ben David. Here is his testimony regarding this matter:

Not everyone that says unto me, Adonai, Adonai, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Adonai, Adonai, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work anomia (without Law).

Mattithyahu/Matthew 7:21-23

The “Will of Yahuah” is for people to obey His Laws. Those who are “without Law” are those who choose NOT to obey His Laws. People who will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven are in the process of setting themselves apart from the ways of the Earthly Kingdom. The “House of Yashar’El” is the label assigned to those who are set-apart the way Yahuah is set-apart. Here is the testimony providing this distinction.

Set yourselves apart [H6942] therefore, and be set-apart [H6918]: for I am Yahuah your Strong Authority. And you shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am Yahuah which sets you apart [H6942].

Vayikra/Leviticus 20:7-8

People who are bloodline children of Ya’akob (Jacob) who continue to practice sin are not set-apart. They are not included in the House of Yashar’El even though they are bloodline children of Ya’akob. People who are NOT bloodline children of Ya’akob but have chosen to become set-apart by no longer committing sins are included in the House of Yashar’El.

The House of Yashar’El includes everyone who has chosen to set themselves apart from the Earthly Kingdom.

This conclusion is confirmed by the Prophet Yeshayahu (Isaiah):

Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to Yahuah, to serve him, and to love the name of Yahuah, to be his servants, every one that guards the Shabbat from polluting it, and takes hold of my covenant; Even them will I bring to My Set-Apart Mountain [Garden of Eden], and make them joyful in My House of Prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon My Altar; for My House shall be called an House of Prayer for all people. Adonai Yahuah which gathers the outcasts of Yashar’El says, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

Yeshayahu/Isaiah 56:6-8

These are people who are NOT bloodline children of Ya’akob (Jacob) but have chosen to set-themselves apart by honoring the Shabbat (Sabbath) of Yahuah on the seventh day and taking hold of the covenant given at Mount Sinai. These people are obeying the Laws of Yahuah and have prepared themselves to cross-over the river to the other side.

Our Father instructed the priests to place His Name upon the people in the House of Yashar’El which includes the strangers who have set themselves apart (Bemidbar/Numbers 6:27). His Name is Set-Apart and it is a seal that sets people apart from the Earthly Kingdom. His Name means “He Exists” which was described in great detail in our study titled, The Name “Yahuah”. This particular Name contains a message about the resurrection hidden in the ancient Hebrew pictographic language:

The Name of Yahuah is an entire sentence. People who work and breathe in this current life will breathe again just like Messiah Yahusha Ben David.

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Yashar’El, that by the name of Messiah Yahusha of Natzareth, whom you crucified, whom Elohiym raised from the dead, even by him does this man stand here before you whole.

Acts 4:10

Elohiym or Strong Authority of Heavenly Kingdom raised-up Messiah Yahusha Ben David from the dead. Here is the function of the Name “Yahuah”.

Messiah Yahusha Ben David experienced the Name of Yahuah in action. Yahusha crossed-over to the other side and is dwelling in the Presence of Yahuah.

But he, being full of the Set-Apart Spirit, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of Elohiym, and Yahusha standing on the right hand of Elohiym, And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of Elohiym.

Acts 7:55-56

In his resurrected body, Yahusha Ben David was able to cross-over from the Earthly Kingdom to the Heavenly Kingdom. He was allowed to enter through the gates guarded by the Kerubiym. He is living in the Garden of Eden. Yahusha has access to the Tree of Life and is living forever. “He Exists” which is the basic meaning of the Name, “Yahuah”. Yahusha was able to cross-over because he did not sin.

And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

1 Yochanan/John 3:5

Yochanan (John) was a firsthand eyewitness to the life of Messiah Yahusha. Based on his perspective, Yahusha did not sin. Our Messiah said that sinners cannot go where he goes.

Then said Yahusha again unto them, I go my way, and you shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: where I go, you cannot come. Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he says, where I go, you cannot come. And he said unto them, You are from beneath; I am from above: you are of this world; I am not of this world.

Yochanan/John 8:21-23

Yahusha Ben David was talking to Jews who were considered bloodline children of Ya’akob (Jacob). From his perspective, they were sinners. He says they will die in their sins and cannot go where he goes which is the Garden of Eden in the Presence of Yahuah Elohiym. Those who are “beneath” are in the Earthly Kingdom and those who are from above are in the Heavenly Kingdom. In Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 56:7, Yahuah describes the place where He dwells as a Set-Apart Mountain so it is physically above the Earthly Kingdoms. People who dwell in the Heavenly Kingdom are not of this world because they have set themselves apart from the citizens in the Earthly Kingdom. ALL who have set themselves apart have His Name placed upon them. Each one will experience the function of the Name of Yahuah. People cannot have His Name upon them unless they have set themselves apart from the Earthly Kingdom. This is confirmed in the following passage:

And I saw another messenger ascending from the east, having the seal of the living Elohiym: and he cried with a loud voice to the four messengers, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our Elohiym in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed a hundred and forty and four-thousand, of all the tribes of the children of Yashar’El.

Revelation 7:2-4

The seal is the Name of “Yahuah”:

And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Tziyon, and with him a hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goes. These were redeemed from among men, being the First-Fruits unto Elohiym and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no deception: for they are without fault before the throne of Elohiym.

Revelation 14:1-5

They are not defiled and are found without fault before the throne of Yahuah which means they have stopped sinning. They have been sealed with the Name of Yahuah and are protected from calamity. The Name of Yahuah sets people apart from those who are citizens in the Earthly Kingdom. This is a two-step process:

  1. We set ourselves apart by obeying His Laws in His Word.
  2. He sets His Name, “Yahuah,” upon our foreheads and seals us which protects us from calamities.

Yahuah cannot seal us until we have set ourselves apart by no longer sinning. We must fulfill our part before He can fulfill His part. This can be observed in the ancient Hebrew pictographic language for the Hebrew word translated as Set-apart or “Qodesh”. This Hebrew word is defined by The Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible written by Jeff A. Benner as:

FDWQ ( masc., קודש / qo-desh) Translation: SPECIAL Definition: A person, item, time or place that has the quality of being unique; Separated from the rest for a special purpose. KJV Translations: holy, sanctuary, hallowed, holiness, dedicated, consecrated Strong’s Hebrew #: h.6944

FDQ ( common, קדש / q.d.sh) Translation: SET.APART (V) Definition: To move or place someone or something separate from the whole for a special purpose. KJV Translations: sanctify, hallow, dedicate, holy, prepare, consecrate, appoint, bid, purify Strong’s Hebrew #: h.6942

FDWQ ( masc., קדוש / qa-dosh) Translation: UNIQUE Definition: Someone or something that has, or has been given the quality of specialness, and has been separated from the rest for a special purpose. KJV Translations: holy, saint Strong’s Hebrew #: h.6918

This word is most commonly translated as “holy” but this English word does not convey an accurate meaning of the word. “Holy” from an English perspective means, “exalted or worthy of complete devotion as one perfect in goodness and righteousness”. However, the focus of “qodesh” is the function of being set-apart for a special purpose. This becomes apparent because “qodesh” also refers to a “male prostitute” which we would NOT consider “exalted or worthy of complete devotion as one perfect in goodness and righteousness”. The Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible defines it the following way:

FDQ ( masc., קדש) Translation: MALE.PROSTITUTE Definition: One set aside for a special purpose. Relationship to Root: One who is set aside for a special purpose. KJV Translations: sodomite, unclean Strong’s Hebrew #: h.6945

It has the same Hebrew letters and is in the same word family. “Male prostitutes” were set-apart for a special purpose in the Earthly Kingdom. Here is the word used in context.

There shall be no whore of the daughters of Yashar’El, nor a sodomite [H6945] of the sons of Yashar’El.

Debarim/Deuteronomy 23:17

And there were also sodomites [H6945] in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which Yahuah cast out before the children of Yashar’El.

1 Melakim/Kings 14:24

These were not “male prostitutes” for the sexual gratification of women. They were set aside for the sexual gratification of other men. “Male prostitutes” set themselves apart to commit abominations in the eyes of Yahuah. They are practicing sin. On the other end of the spectrum, the House of Yashar’El is to set themselves apart as a nation by obeying His Voice and guarding the covenant given at Mount Sinai.

Now therefore, if you will obey My Voice indeed, and guard my covenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And you shall be unto me a Kingdom of Priests, and a set-apart nation [H6918]. These are the words which you shall speak unto the children of Yashar’El.

Shemoth/Exodus 19:5-6

The House of Yashar’El is a set-apart nation. They are a group of individuals who have chosen to stop sinning. They are being set-apart for a special purpose in the Kingdom of Yahuah. In order to obtain this status, they were told to obey the Voice of Yahuah.

If Adam had obeyed the Voice of Yahuah in the Garden of Eden, he would have remained in the Garden with access to the Tree of Life. He would have lived forever. But he chose to obey the voice of his wife instead of Yahuah Elohiym.

And unto Adam he said, Because you have heard and obeyed the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it: cursed is the ground for your sake; in sorrow shall you eat of it all the days of your life;

Bereshith/Genesis 3:17

As a result of his decision, both of them were removed from the Garden of Eden with no access to the Tree of Life. Adam separated himself from Yahuah Elohiym by NOT obeying His Voice. When other people disobey His Laws, they are separating themselves from Him as well.

Yahuah is Set-Apart from mankind in the Garden of Eden. The nation of Yashar’El were instructed to obey His Voice which would cause them to be set-apart the way Yahuah is set-apart. This would allow them to be in His Presence. They are set-apart from the ways of the world even in the way they should eat.

For I am Yahuah your Strong Authority: you shall therefore set yourselves apart [H6942], and you shall be set-apart [H6918]; for I am Set-Apart [H6918]: neither shall you defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. For I am Yahuah that brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your Strong Authority: you shall therefore be set-apart [H6918], for I am Set-Apart [H6918].

Vayikra/Leviticus 11:44-45

People who are set-apart like Yahuah are different than everyone else. They are a minority and do not follow the behaviors of the majority of people. They are ridiculed, persecuted and rejected for the way they believe and behave. Messiah Yahusha says it this way:

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice! and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Mattithyahu/Matthew 5:10-12

These people are set-apart for a special purpose. They have the courage and the strength to be different and endure all hardships because of the way they believe and behave. They are being threshed like wheat which is the two-lettered root of this word.

FD דש  Action: Thresh, Sprout Object: Grass Definition: The grains were placed on the threshing floor where they were trampled on and beaten in order to separate the hulls from the grain. Ancient Hebrew: The pictograph ד is a door representing the idea of moving back and forth. The ש is a picture of teeth meaning to press. Combined these pictures mean “the back and forth movement of pressure”.

The “dalet” is a picture of a “door” which swings back-and-forth. When farmers winnow wheat, they pound the wheat to separate it from the chaff which is the unwanted part of the harvest. The “shin” is a picture of two front teeth which involves anything with the teeth. In this particular situation it is the pressure exerted by the teeth when eating food.

The chaff separated from the wheat is not edible. It is not useable. This is represented by our sinful ways. The Heavenly Kingdom has no use for sin. The wheat has been set-apart from the chaff so that it can be used for food. The purpose of wheat is to nourish people and animals. The first part in this process of separating the wheat from the chaff is “threshing”. The grain is beaten to loosen the chaff around the wheat. This Hebrew word is in the same Hebrew word family:

FYD ( masc., דיש) Translation: THRESHING Definition: The separating of the grain or seeds from a plant by beating with a flail. KJV Translations: threshing Strong’s Hebrew #: h.1786

Here is this Hebrew word used in context.

You shall keep my Shabbats, and reverence my sanctuaries: I am Yahuah. If you will walk in my ordinances, and keep my commandments, and do them, then will I give you the rain in its season, and the land shall produce its fruits, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. And your threshing [H1786] time shall overtake the vintage, and your vintage shall overtake your seed time; and you shall eat your bread to the full; and ye shall dwell safely upon your land, and war shall not go through your land.

Vayikra/Leviticus 26:2-5

It is a reference to “threshing” grain. As we learn our Father’s Way, the chaff is being removed from our lives. Sometimes it is painful and uncomfortable. The end result is pure wheat used to nourish others. The individual becomes a useful vessel in His Kingdom.

The letter “quph” is added to the two-lettered root word to complete the Hebrew word, “qodesh”. Here are the pictures representing this Hebrew word:

The letter “quph” means “gathering light”. Grain is gathered for threshing. The letter “quph” also represents a “circle, revolution or cycle”. The act of threshing is a cycle repeated over and over to separate the wheat from the chaff. This is what it means to be set-apart. Biology professors are trained through an educational process over many years to prepare them to teach biology to new students. They have been set-apart for this purpose.

The citizens who will be a part of Yahuah’s Heavenly Kingdom are being trained as well for a special role in His realm. Part of that process involves removing sin but it also includes learning our Father’s Way. There is much to learn and unlearn in order to prepare ourselves for His Kingdom. May we all be set-apart as He is Set-Apart.
